    Newbie...working it out before investing!

Hi all....have been tracking this forum for a short while and really enjoyed all I have seen (its kind of compulisve)..it seems to have it all.

I have come out of mainstream corporate life (after 30 years) and am looking to invest in the adult industry part of my well earned significant nest egg! I have a different view to some in terms of where the industry is and its future cash potential and my reading suggests eventually (a couple of years out maybe) the tube sites and other piracy issues which have impacted on you all "the virtuous" will be "adjusted" (the industry will edge towards a buiness model that works more lucratively again). Dont ask me how exactly as it clearly requires a complex string of players in the industry to act together.....and in any industry thats a tall order.

I know its a punt but I have faith and am willing to put my money where my mouth is! With that in mind I am trying to model the industry from Content Production, Content providers, Online Distribution, Site Hosting, Domain sales, Bandwidth, Site Owenership, Developers/Designers, Associate Networks in all there forms, Payment processors and the list goes on and on. This will help me and I am sure numerous other newbies get a very rough view of where the $b get distributed right now and take a punt on the best places to invest.

Do any of you clearly experienced old hands in this game no whether anybody has done any work in this space to map out the who does what, for how much return and with what risks across the complex adult industry supply chain? I dont want to re-invent the wheel and pieceing it togther is not an easy task. You have a language all of your own which I am picking up but there is no adult industry lexacon either.

    Cheers

Welcome, fairly rare to see a post like this on GFY.
Right now is tough to tell you the truth, one piece of advice that i can give you is that anyone you speak to IF they are not willing or hesitant about bringing you to their offices for a proper walk through stay far FAR away!

People in this industry with no money or infrastructure will most likely not be worth investing money in.
