I never understood why some cities work so hard to get the Olympics. All you ever hear about is how much money it costs the city and that they end up in debt when it is over. The same for the TV side. I read that NBC will lose 200 million dollars broadcasting the Olympics. Then why do they do it?

The funny thing is that it took Montreal 20 years to recover from their disastrous Olympics and then they went and bid for another one!
