Note that Stodghill is still married to another wife.

No word if California law enforcement will press bigamy charges, which could include up to a year in prison.

ANYHOW - I just found out about the capture of David Stodghill and I have to say that both TurboAngel and I are ecstatic! Stodghill's crime spree has finally come to an end.

From what I just heard, Stodghill is being extradicted from Calif to PA, in the back of a van that makes stops across the US. As of right now, he's been traveling for over a week and he still has not reached PA.

We managed to get Stodghill into a courtroom here in NC last year, but the DA down here did not realize who Stodghill was and what he has been doing. He wound up walking, but he fled NC to move to PA that same week!

You can be sure that I will keep you guys updated on this.

It was actually over 3 dozen, but those were only the ones me and others figured out. God only knows how many he actually had.

Yeah, I remember when that happened to you. He's caused a number of people on here some similar type problems. It's great to see that Karma has finally caught up with him. His problems are just beginning.

That pic must have been taken before we faced off with him in court. When I saw him in the courtroom here in Greensboro, NC he was looking pretty rough. His face was more drawn in and he was very pale (even paler than I am!). He looked almost sickly.

What was that like to meet each other court after all your years of battle online? Did you take him to court for the server hack and hijacking and sale of your domains? After court did he threaten you or try messing with you some more in retaliation?

This story has been lost in the countless threads devoted to Stodghill. Here's what happened..

About three years ago, just as I was arriving home from a convention down in Hollywood, Florida I found out that dozens of my domains were hijacked by Stodghill and that he was going around selling them! He got access to everything from my registrars to my server. He had access to my server for some time before hand. He waited till he knew I would be out of town before he struck.

Stodghill has always denied that he lived here in NC but I always knew he was lying. I called his bluff and took charges out on him for cyberstalking using the address we had on him. We showed up for court and one of the clerks there had been calling out names of people who had cases that day. One name we kept hearing repeated was David Stidghill. The last time I heard his name called I saw the lady nodding to someone that had just put their hand up. My heart started racing. I leaned over to TA and whispered to her, he's here.

The court cases went on for hours, thinning out the people that were in there until I spotted him. He was standing there on on the defendants side with a reptilian look on his face - his eyes looking forward yet I could feel him taking us in out of his peripheral vision and he had this ever so slight smile on his face. He was wearing a black t-shirt that looked like he slept in it and needed a lint brush desperately. His face was a more drawn in than in that picture there. He looked like he should have been in a hospital instead of a courtroom.

As I saw that it was us coming down to the last case I spoke up to the DA who was supposed to come up to us before that point to get our story. I knew something was up. The DA and us stepped out into the hall and talked. He said thet he had to ask if we were internet porn stars to which we erupted into laughter which I could tell from the DA's expression expressed guilt, which we all that isn't true. Things went downhill from there. He began a pop quiz of things the judge would ask for backing up our claims. He kept asking for things until he found something that I didn't happen to have printed up. He then shut down saying that he was not even going to prosecute the case. It was painfully obvious that he was just looking for an excuse to drop this case, which it wound up being.

Within a week he had fled NC for PA, sensing that we would be bring up more charges up on him and rightfully so. I heard he suffer a heart attack shortly thereafter and while in the hospital there received a visit from the local authorities regarding some pending charges he had up there. He was handcuffed to his bed and after he got out had to go to court and set up a payment plan.

I really should have pushed harder for some federal charges but I had not had much luck going down that road. I could have gotten Al Capone for tax evasion even though he was responsible for much more graver crimes, but that didn't pan out like I hoped.

It is nice to see that Karma has caught up with David Stodghill finally and I believe that this drama is just starting to begin to get interesting.

Thanks for that, I do remember that chaotic weekend here where David popped out of nowhere and was trying to auction off your domains. Took us a while to figure out what was going on, if I remember he was claiming that he had won a court decision against you and now had control of your assets, which was obviously total bs. Kinda funny after all his years of tough talk about what he was going to do to you, that he would turn and run as far away as possible. Do you think David had contacted the DA and made some statements about you and TA being in the adult biz to try and undermine your claims?

Stodghill showed up looking like he had not slept the night before (which I am sure was the case) with a clean-cut, expensive looking lawyer. They all obviously had a talk with the DA before I had a chance to and it was over before it even began there for us. I could read from the way that the DA was looking at me that nothing out of my mouth was going to ever convince him to see our point of view. The DA was talking about how he knew what IP addresses were and all, but it was plain to see that there was not going to be any justice served that day for us, but it seems from recent events that there finally is going to be!

That was a chaotic week!

I would send a note to that DA telling him that thanks to his incompetence, a little girl was molested. Then send to the local papers informing them of how they had this guy years ago but thanks to a reluctant DA, he was able to escape and molest a child.

Why fuck with children, they're too small

Yup, I hope his transport driver leaves the van running inside a parking garage somewhere and takes a 2-3 day lunch break...

Quick update (more details at the blog - see footer): Stodghill finally made it back to Cumberland County Prison, where he is now awaiting a formal arraignment on June 10th. His initial bail of $25,000 for the child sex abuse charges was raised to $150,000 after a judge heard the full weight of the charges.

I feel really, really bad for his public defender.

I wish he would care about it but he won't. He was a huge dick when we talked to him. You should have seen his face when we tried to make him understand what happen. He doesn't understand the internet. I think he's one of those that can't see past yahoo! LOL

regardless, he will care about bad press.... you should send letters to the local papers about this... they love "juicy" stories like this, and it would at least put some pressure/public scrutiny on his office... and he won't like that

Well, no.

Even if the Turbo's had won a case against Stodghill doesn't mean it would have deterred him in any way from molesting the girl. The Turbo's were suing him in North Carolina, and soon after the case was dropped he left for Pennsylvania anyway.

Which isn't to say the DA wasn't a moron for not understanding the charges, just that nobody is going to believe he could have stopped a child predator.

The unfortunate part now is that none of the charges against Stodghill now would preclude him from logging back onto the internet whenever he is released. Hopefully ICE is pursuing Federal porn charges against Stodghill, which might bar him from touching from the internet if they convict him of peddling kiddie porn online... but I haven't heard if they have evidence to back this up.

That said, if any GFYers have evidence that may connect DS with kiddie porn, possibly from his earlier days on GFY, drop me an email and I'll put you in touch with the agents working the case (ICE agents based in Long Beach, CA, if you prefer to track them down on your own).

I don't think it would do anything but piss the DA off and that just something I don't care to do myself. All that would do is cause me probs IMO.
