I would like to think, a big board like GFY would be treated like a golden pussy. But it seems nobody gives a flying fuck about this board anymore.
Some weeks ago our company was interested in buying a couple of adslots on this board. Then things got out of hand. Im not blaming this entirely on the mods or trolls. Everybody makes a mistake sometime. But like most good "hosts" of a party would, you have to either cleanup the mess afterwards, or should hire someone to do it for you.
At the moment, there is a lack of both.
How long will it take you guys/girls (although it seems there is nobody around to work this place), to realise that the value of this board is dropping at a speed faster then the enterprise could ever warp?
Did you even notice that valuable and respectfull business people are now avoiding posting on this very forum? Could it be, maybe, because EVERY biz related thread gets trashed by trolls, fakenicks, and broke losers that are butthurt they arent making as much money anymore and got lapped by others?
Are you guys REALLY to busy to take a daily look at this forum? It shouldnt be hard to see what is wrong. But let me sum it all up in short:
- People bumping year old threads with the purpose of trashing.
- Personal attacks, excessive harrasment.
- Class judgements. People getting banned, other people getting to stay because of being in the bro-club.
- Multiple fakenicks. Shouldnt be to hard to verify that either.
- Posting lies without proof.
I know it looks like fun for some, but i think it might hurt your board in many ways.
REAL biz people are turning their backs, and its not just because porn is going down. Because porn ISNT going down. They simply stop posting. Or change their mind on buying adslots on GFY.
Sure, there are a lot of respected vets lurking the waters on gfy. But would you want to represent YOUR company on a board full of idiots posting? And thats what GFY is representing these days. Im sure you dont want that, as WE, the community do not want that to happen either.
New rules could be like this soon:
Signature. If you dont frequently visit shows to get drunk and act all juvenile kissing butts however, you can only have 3 lines in your signature. Not that we will actively police it. But when we feel like it, we will do something about it. Well, maybe.
You can attack anyone at anytime. We encourage you to post about someone being someone else. Please bump as many threads as you can find about someone, best would be to copy half quotes and half truths even if the person you are trying to trash gets cleared in those threads. (Example: http://www.gfy.com/showpost.php?p=17...&postcount=126)
Use excessive harrasment. Post as many bullshit threads regarding that person as you can. Try to find other fakes and losers to back you up. When you are anti-social and cant find those, signup for a couple more accounts and talk to yourself and back yourself up every second post. Remember: Bumping old bullshit threads made by people who got banned for making them is good. You will look very cool and stuff.
No spamming of other boards. They dont need that. Really. They dont when people are leaving at this rate.
No sig spamming. You can post "cool beans" or "interesting twist" or "im drunk so i can call you a scammer whenever i want" instead.
Do not post peoples personal information, it will be ground for immediate banning. Ok not all the time, but it depends on how many shows you showed up before to act like a drunk asskissing moron.
Racial Slurs. Dont use the N-word. But make sure you make assumptions about race a lot. Just dont fucking use that N-word.
Posting images of death, dismemberment, and what not. Its not tolerated to post those. Use pictures of kids with down syndrome instead.
False accusations against a person or company. Well, anything goes really. As long as other fake nicks and losers understand who you are talking about its ok. Dont make it to complicated by posting real proof in the same thread. We dont want to confuse other trolls by doing so. Just post "that person did this", "that person is person xxxxx", or "they are stealing, im sure, although i never checked with anyone". That way we know.

GFY is a network of industry professionals. We all like to have our fun and enjoy shooting the shit and talking the occasional trash to each other. If you see anyone in violation of these rules please contact a MOD immediately, you will not be called out in any way, in the end the MODs can not see everything and we appreciate everyones help in keeping the peace.
