Fuck, there are a lot of excuses and stories in this thread. Hard times, sure, but a bad move coming here for this. It's one thing to have a business idea and to be soliciting a partner. It is another thing to be asking for a handout (loan or not, once the money is sent, there are no guarantees that it is coming back). All of the best to you, really. My only advice: 'Man up (meaning 'be responsible'),' cut back, and get through it.

Your best bet is indeed the wife's new job. Ask em to hang in there a bit longer or maybe grandpa will loan ya at say 20% if ya can prove the job. Govt job is a pretty good job.

Also go down and file with the county you might be able to get immediate cash aid. Who knows. Also 2 1/2 months is not enough time to evict you I wouldnt think. Maybe in a few months you will have more cash on hand. Note to self: This reminds me of the chat board version of the old Phil Hendrie bit. Not making light but you are totally anon. Pretty decent of the one fellow to offer you a 1-2 k loan if you can identify yourself and provide some kind of collateral even if just your good name as a wm. Also what kind of car you drive? If worth more than 12K sell it for 10K and buy one for 5 K. Good luck. |

The worst thing that can happen to you is you sleep on the side walk under the stars if you ask me that's better then paying rent because now you can keep back all your money and start living below your means till u figure out a plan for financial freedom.

Go stand out on the street corner you god dam bum. I can't believe you have the nerve to come here and beg to complete strangers.

And what are you doing living in a $1200 a month apartment? If you're that broke go find a place with lower rent. ![]() Edit: I see you say rent is only $850 a month, but you originally said 2 1/2 months rent totalled $3000, so that is where I got $1200 from. |

I cannot believe in this day and age that scams like this can still be taken seriously by a supposedly "savvy" crowd on a porn webmaster board. Usually I see pathetic scam attempts like this in my spam box. The serious replies to this obvious hustle make me wonder how any of you have even managed to survive this long.

Yes in a warm climate saving $1000/month rent would certainly change things around. Sell everything (incl the 12K car I mentioned) for a used but decent running RV Recreational Vehicle You can park it somewhere. SHIT.. I just remembered the wife has a good job. I knew a guy in MN who lived out of his 1969 VW Beetle (ok this was 15 years ago but he may be still, it was in good shape, havent seen him, think maybe he headed south) around 8 of 12 months and then stayed somewhere cheap for the winter. Great guy. Math degree. Just was frugal and realized the $1000 a month rent was not in the cards for him. He was kind of a woodsy guy who did just fine in the bug. He wasn't broke either. Just frugal and willing to live a little less flashy for a little more freedom. |

ninavain: digitalblackie.com was our original web host/web design company, but it got hacked awhile back due to a security flaw on the shared server it was on...the company swore up and down that it wasn't their fault, but we took the site down anyways. We are pretty much out of hosting now anyways since the market is already oversaturated with webhosts, and the real stars have pretty much cornered the market now.

And no...it's got nothing to do with "not having their shit together". He hasn't ever helped ANYONE except his favorite son...he has a reputation in the family for being the tightest of the tightwads. He's rich because he invested his army booty in real estate long before virtually all of us were born, and built his fortune one run-down shack at a time. Without that initial chunk of cash though, he wouldn't have become the wealthy guy he is today. It takes more than just hard work to succeed...you also have to have assets. Those who simply work hard in life never get anywhere...they're simply slaves to the grind, making someone else rich. I love hard work but even I know that it alone isn't enough. Vjo: yeah we're going to exercise that the best we can. Also, my wife found the Bayamon office's phone number so I'm going to phone them up in the morning and see if I can have my information transferred to their office. If so, I should be able to land a spot there, and since it's a desk job, I can do it no problem. If it pans out, we'll be making enough money between the two of us to at least convince him to hold on a little longer. And everyone else...please just understand that I was feeling quite desperate. I am not a scammer, and there is too much to tell so yeah sure, it might sound like I'm making excuses. I'm sorry to even bring it up, but there have been quite a few good suggestions in this thread that I am most certainly going to act on. I did not consider the idea of a partnership for our new site...didn't figure anyone would be into the idea. I'm not even sure how to go about such a proposition. But I would certainly be open to the idea. |

Tanker: I myself do not speak fluent Spanish (I speak some but I'm not 100% fluent just yet) but my wife does, and her mother is a native Spanish speaker with a masters degree in English. I also have two other translators, one of which focuses on Mexican Spanish. We are all looking to start up a Spanish translation service right now for the adult industry, so yes, we are looking for work. Let me know what you've got. |

Tanker: I sent you a request on ICQ. I'll be on for another hour or so, so if you're still around, we can discuss what you need to have done. Otherwise, I'll likely be on most of tomorrow.

Vjo: Heh yeah, PR is probably not the best place to live out of an RV. Well, I guess I should probably mention what I'm up to. The site idea I have probably isn't the most innovative there is out there, but it targets a mobile platform that is currently completely untapped...aside from pirated content, of course. But of course, because of our current financial problem, I can't afford to purchase any content for it, and I also lack the video equipment to produce any (well, I do have an old VHS camcorder, does that count? :D ). So I've just been working on my blog for now...it'll probably be "up to speed" in a few more days. I wouldn't mind some feedback on it...I want to make sure I do it right from the start. http://www.digitalsatin.com/ Digital Satin is an old software studio of mine that focuses on adult games. I have always released everything as freeware, but the existing software is very old at this point. The old site was very outdated (I had a real fetish for microsites for some reason!) so I converted it to a blog and changed its objective. I'll still produce adult games, but I've shifted from the old VS98-based software to gcc/SDL for downloadable games and Java for online games. I find Java to be a lot easier to work with than Flash, plus a lot more supported across multiple platforms. Plus, moving from VS98 to gcc/SDL means that all of our software will not only run on all modern Windows systems but on alternate platforms as well, such as Linux, *BSD, and everyone's favorite MacOS X. |

You mean abandoning the house? We might do that, all things considered. Of course, then it's a matter of finding someplace else to go...I suppose we could ride out the eviction process and gather enough $$$ for a cheaper place in the meantime. If we do that, there's always the possibility of finding someplace better in the future anyways.

The rent is only $850 per month, but the house is large and comes with a decent sized plot of land. When we first got the house, we had plenty of income from our job so it was cheap for us. Here are some pics I took of the place the day we first looked at it:

http://www.nodtveidt.net/house/ As for me, I'm 34 years old, no credit card debt but no credit really...I've never needed it. My wife is 29 years old, she has a little debt remaining from her college loan but that's it. And of course, the debt she has now from the loan we used to fund our business back in August. Her job pays a bit over $1200/month, plus she does translations on the side for some extra cash. I do occasional odd jobs when I can, but usually never for any significant amount of money. That's one of the reasons I'm trying to open my new site. We have two children, a 4 year old and a 1 year old. My wife's mother lives in the downstairs apartment, and her sister lives upstairs with us. Her other sister is living with us for the time being but is probably leaving soon for the mainland to be with her boyfriend again. If I could photograph the two of them together, we'd probably make a bit of money on that, lol. At this point though...it doesn't really matter if we get the money or not. If we have to leave, so be it...we've survived up to this point somehow so I'm sure we'll figure out how to survive past this. Besides, it's not like this is the only house on the island (it's just the cheapest for what it is). I'd love to actually go back to the mainland but my wife is a tropical girl and doesn't like the cold winters up north. |

Dude that's a mansion from my perspective. Suck it up get something cheaper. Fuck you're renting too. Throwing $850 away in PR is double a waste. Apply your money towards buying something. Owning a home. Any home, beats renting.

My wife was trying to sell her guitar but I guess no one wanted it because it looks like it would belong to Barney (it's very purple). Other than that...we've pretty much sold off almost everything of value that we had, except our computers which we can't get rid of.

It's not as big as it looks, really...the inside of the house itself is pretty normal. It's just that it has a large balcony and a triple car bay. But yeah...I reckon we'll probably end up leaving it behind.

Housing in PR is only cheap in areas where you wouldn't want to raise children. And though our house looks big, for what it is it's actually not very pricey. What really adds the price is the land it came with. It would probably be only half this price if the land wasn't included. |

No weekly, but I did once talk for five minutes to a complete lunatic who truly believed himself to be Jesus Christ. It was a little unbelievable at first, to see a completely psychotic wing-nut hanging out of a two-story window, but he was convinced that he could fly. I don't even want to get into what happened next.

-15.. Yeah as long as you don't have to go outside everything is peachy. Seriously being a wm in MN is a sweet job. Any of you below the Mason Dixon line every go out into a ten degrees below car.

I ought to post a Hendrie bit where he comes to MN in January, it's -10 at the airport in Mpls, forgets a heavy coat and has to run about a quarter mile to his frozen car in the airport parking lot with a light weight jacket. Classic! He then talks about driving the car with literally square tires for a while after he froze his balls off (as we say up here) getting that car going. Oh yeah it can be a blast at -15. |

I've had this account forever...it was the one I used for both of my web design businesses, and all of my ebay trading over the years. Once you have the status of a business account, it doesn't seem like it goes away. Digital Blackie Services was the name we originally operated our web hosting business under.

Cool dude! I have just clicked URL that paypal has in their records regarding your account (digitalblackie) and it says Reported Attack Page!

![]() Nice scam! P.S. Nodtveidt you still owe me $1. Or forget it. Your not worth even $1.

Yep, that was when our old site was compromised. I removed the offending material from the server about five months ago, yet they refuse to remove it from the database. We took down digitalblackie.com when it happened. We have not operated under that name since then, and now only operate under PonteCyber. If you go to digitalblackie.com now ("ignore this warning"), you'll get a page that says "nothing here". I think I still have a local copy of all the crap that got dumped into out account. Ironically, it was a porno scam...they were using our account to mass email porn spam.
