They were showing class pictures (very on topic) of female university students in Egypt on a swiss TV show I stumbled upon. The show was very critical of Islam but they also showed pictures dating back to the early fifties, two hundred women per class, guess how many were wearing a veil? zero. yes that is right not a single one. and that was the damn fifties. In fact it wasn't until the late seventies, almost thirty years later that the first veil appeared. Now they all wear it.
Why do you think it turned out that way?What sentiments do you think the radicals feed on? Nooooo nothing to do with Palestinians...

Anyone who has been to my place knows that I own and read hundreds of books. In this case I read "Bitter Harvest", among others. I think it may be out of print now, but it's a powerful book. I'm a big history buff and a big reader in general.
It's not easy to read books that portray a version of events that go against one's own viewpoint.... but it's the only healthy way to get a full view IMHO.

Sure it is, but only when it doesn't involve my personal feelings. I have no roots in Israel or palestine, so this is all 50/50 to me. BUT NO WAY YOU FEEL THE SAME.
Let me give you an example. I have a college friend that got his Phd in Michigan few years ago. Some Biblical archeology stuff. He spent his time in Jordan, Lebanon, Israel. Done this and done that. He's not jew and obviously was interested in jewish studies, speaks some old language of yours as well as what ever you guys speak now. So I can say that he was pretty much nutural if not sypothetic to jews. When he got back 2 years ago i heard some very contradicting shit from him both about Jews and Arabs. Now, take you for example. You're jew as jew can get. You're racist and lets be honest here. No need to mention your Hindu wife, you know who Im talking about - Arabs. You are not very welcome to anybody elses opinions. You will see doctored video of jewish special forces and say, neh, don't buy it, all fake.
You can't think objectively. YOU JUST CAN'T. Very few of you can, and those that do get labeled as traitors.Comment
