have some hardcore sex. get a good finger in the ass. then have a long hot shower. does the trick everytime.

some people say its bad but a TV helps me fall asleep bigtime. lets me get my mind off the day or what i want to do tomorrow.

If you have had an insomnia for a long time, then stay away from pills or first visit a doctor. Sleeping pills are very addictive, and you will grab to them every night when you feel you can't sleep. Ontop of that, it's generally known that sleeping pills work like cigarettes, over time you will need more of those to get the same effect, to get asleep.

I'm not telling you this because I found it on Google, but because I've been addicted to sleeping pills for 4 years! It all started with an insomnia. At some point I grabbed to sleeping pills. The first weeks, half a pill was enough, after a couple of weeks i needed a whole, then 2, 3, 4. At some point I was taking up to 8 pills to get asleep, every single night.

Now you can say "But I can stop", but you won't be able to without help once you get into the addicted routine of sleeping pills. Just like drugs, you'll need them or you will feel bad. Even more important, without them you won't get asleep anymore.

After 4 years of sleeping pills and therapy I've been into a a special center for a couple of months to ban them out of my life. I'm not using them anymore now, I don't feel like I need them, but it will never really be gone. Sometimes I feel like grabbing to sleeping pills again, i just make sure i don't have them around ;)

For the rest, try to get tired in a natural way. Some of these could be (but not limited to):
                - Hot milk (yes it works)
                - Excercise
                - Healthy Food
                - A hot shower right before going to bed. The hotter the better, your body temprature will go up during the shower, and down after it. This will make you feeling tired.

                what you should NOT do:
                - Sleep during the day for let's say 2 hours. If you take a nap, you're ruining your sleep pattern. Ask your doctor.

Once again, save yourself from alot of trouble and stay away from pills. Visit a doctor, and try to find a natural way to get tired. There are many, which one works the best for you, you can find out together with a doctor.

Hard to say without knowing more but the usual things are good to try.

                  Take melatonin
                  Don't drink alcohol
                  Lose weight
                  Exercise more
Cut out all sugar and caffeine

If you did all that or even most of it I'm sure it would help.

I agree, try to look for reasons that caused the insomnia. Your body nor your brains just randomly says "Hey, let's go in insomnia mode". There is definitely something that is causing it, try to find out the source, and work on it.

Once more, don't grab to pills

I recently just made my room more sleep friendly. Here are some practical tips, they've helped me.

                          1) Clean, Vacuum, and Dust! No brainer that better quality air = better quality sleep.
                          2) Run an air filter in the background, and keep the bedroom door closed at all times. Again better quality air. As a bonus the constant dull sound of the air filter also helps me. The dull sound can drown out other noises.
                          3) Buy some scented lavender fragrances. Right now I'm using lavender oil with the scent sticks, and these scented lavender beads. Lavender, many, many people claim, helps induce sleep.
                          4) Make your room pitch black! Cover all LED lights, black out those windows, etc.
                          5) Buy a new bed set that (sub)consciously makes you think sleep that is super comfortable. Nothing bright and wild. This is excessive for some, but I just spent a thousand dollars brand new Hotel bedding. But it's great!
                          6) Have the mindset that the bedroom is only for sleep and sex, and stick to it! Again, playing mind games on yourself can be quite beneficial.

I am sure you have already tried Melatonine tablets but try if not - works great for me. (and I used to have all of your problems long ago)
