UK torture attack brothers sentenced.

The problem is what will they be like in 5 or 10 years time?

article says minimum of 5 years, but "indefinite detention" in another paragraph, so who knows.

"Two brothers who tortured two boys in a "sadistic" attack have been sentenced to an indefinite period of detention."

I get sick of all this "yeah but they are still young" shit that you hear all the time in cases like this. They were old enough to know what they were doing. The attacks they did on others were simply sickening.

Can you imagine if you were the parent of one of those kids who was tortured? You would want to kill those 2 assholes yourself.

i re-read the article,....

the gem is at the very end:

"Chair of the board, Roger Thompson, said: "No-one could have predicted the severity of the attack. However, the review has concluded there were serious failings in local services.""

meaning, dont blame the parents for bringing up these terrible kids, blame the "local sevices" - the fail was the parents

The parents of these children was known to local services as trouble makes and law breakers for over 18 years. 7 years before the eldest was born. Then when the 2 boys get too much to handle they took them away and gave them to fostering in a small town. Where they quickly became known to local services and the police.

The failing is a society that excepts that local services are more responsible than parents. And parents who obviously are damaging their children.

These are small fry....petty thugs and murderers...

If you want to cause real havoc destruction murder and mayhem you have to belong to the middle-class...then you can organise wars like Iraq (documents civilian deaths 95,099-103,759 )

or corporate takeover like Cadbury so to destroy the lives of 100,000 of working people and ruin a great chocolate.

In the process you can create such areas of deprivation in our cities that human misery can flower....

Apparently these kids (the torturers) were beaten by their father from an early age.

They were sedated by their mother when they got too much to handle, using cannabis in their food from an early age.

They were sitting watching hardcore violence and pornography that would make an adult wince.

I'd say it's not just the kids fault here.
