this is my first design.

dont forget peeps i build out networks of sites. their is clean sites in the network, themed sites in the network. etc etc. you have to be creative with your approach in building your network. even if every site isnt original it should still feel original. then you end up with a group of sites that you know convert and continue to build it out that way.
it seems so obvious to some but few people know how to apply the approach.Comment

That is very nice work. These type of pages used to be all I did. Only critique I would have is that there's no way to close the subscribe box at the base of the page, and it covers those sweet hover boxes that fly out. Very nice style though. Did you design & code?

yes i do both. i have always been a 1 man team.
its just a z-index stack, just noticed though, thanks. the site itself is ongoing, test and expand out.

It is very unclear at best the reason for the penalties associated with the scroll box. I can say mine was... I had little on the page except for the scroll box however. Others have seen the penalty with lots of relevant text outside the box however.
It is just an observation and you now have some information that is worth consideration. I suggest reading that link I just posted and see if it applies.Comment
