Hosted as in hosted by a sponsor?

You shouldnt really see any bandwidth if you dont host the flv yourself

If you use your own flash player that will use some bandwidth i guess

No, i'd host flash videos myself...so do you think use only bandwidth ? If 100 visitors see a video the ram/cpu request don't go up ?

of course it will go up, a server is a computer same as your PC, the more people using it, the more CPU/RAM usage

100 persons per day? or 100 people at the same time thats a big difference. I dont think it would be much server resources if its only 100/day

Our atom 330 servers push 100 Mbps and only hog 20% - 25% of two CPU cores.
The ram usage is about 200 Mb.

We stream flv and mp4 full scenes. Besides the bandwidth, the CPU and RAM usage is pretty much nothing. In fact, we have a paralel project to use all the unused CPU power on the bandwidth servers for mainsteam stuff.
This basically will pay for the bw bill and content by itself, so the tube will be 100% profit
