Awesome dogs, my brother is trying to find a Akita.
These are my dogs, a Dogue de Bordeaux and two Yorkies. Anyone looking to get a big dog that is not only smart as hell, but chill as hell, Dogue de Bordeaux is the one!
Sorry for the bad quality, camera phone

Pic not showing :(
They told us our Husky mix is part Akita and so far she has been an amazing dog. I love everything about her and anywhere we take her, we get TONS of comments and questions on her breed :)

Pretty sure she knows. She's just making sure he does, before he gets older and bigger and thinks otherwise.
I have contemplated a second, but Buddy is a PITA on his own. Having two would not make it easier.

Well, she plays the same with any dog, big or small. Usually if you tell her "gentle", she settles down a bit. I cant wait till he gets bigger so they can romp around together. I'm sure the house will be torn apart :1orglaugh
The main reason I got another was just to keep her company. Huskies get bored very easily and we figured another dog would give her someone to play with while I'm working and the girlfriend is at school or work. Chose the husky to keep them somewhat similar as far as personalities and traits. If I would have got an older dog, it would have been a lot easier but training a puppy is a huge PITA. I haven't slept in two days now with him barking and doing his husky howl all night. The couple we got him from kept them in the kitchen with no crate or anything - free roam, so he's not used to it yet. Just going to take time. He's already going to the bathroom outside most of the time which is a huge plus. :thumbsup
