Exactly. We also do the same in our servers.

Obviously, if the surfer only have a 1mb router then it makes little difference. These days most people in the UK are on at least 10. In Bournemouth we have 20mb with 50mb available this year.

Internet2 isn't meant for you to sell porn on, and it's not meant for home users or businesses. Unless you're at a university or somewhere like Cisco, you can't get access to it.

In a nutshell, Internet2 is a research and academic network connecting universities at 100gbps to develop new internet technologies.
