EPASSPORTE QUESTION FOR ENGLISH PEOPLE ok

Hello
1. Can epassporte be used in england? like anywhere?

2. I would be getting funds in USD, however if I checked my account balance at a atm would it automatically convert it?

3. In your personal opinion is it good?

4. What are the charges and exchange rates like when you take out money

5. Are they faggots like PayPal?

6. How long does it take to sign up?
I may add some more questions if I can think of them, but im lost right now

I have the answer for a couple of thos ?'s

2. The funds in your epass account are USD of course, but when you withdrawl at an ATM it will give it to you in the currency in your country. You can't check your balance at an ATM from what I've noticed.

4. The exchange rates are according to whatever bank's ATM you are using.. Epassporte has nothing to do with the exchange rates you get. As for charges it's $2USD everytime you use the card at an ATM/

5. I don't see them as being faggots like PayPal.. Plus, they accept adult at least. Yep, they fees for the Electron and Virtual Visa ($35) is a little crazy, but what can you do.

1) The Electron card can be used at all ATMs that have the PLUS/Electron logo.
It will also work in swipe terminals accepting Electron.

2) What Yngwie said.

3) I may be a bit biased but I love my ePassporte account also did before I started working for ePassporte. Working as a non US webmasters I loved not having to wait for checks and pay to have them cashed.

4) What Yngwie said.

5) I'll let other answer this one.

6) Its instant if the pending charges we placed on your credit card show up on your statement, if not there are 2 options, either open an account via 2000charge (bank transfer) or we need to manually verify your credit card and information by you sending in a copy of goverment ID, copy of CC and proof of address.

the $35 is for the actual plasti card (Electron) and the virtual visa. It's a yearly fee that we must pay. You don't pay that every time you use the card.

you pay $2 everytime you use the card at an atm

As for loading fees (if you were to load your epassporte account from your credit card it would cost $5 per $100 that you load into your own account. Of course, that same $5 applies to if you only load $10 or $20 from your credit card into your epassporte account.

The fee for the Electron card is $35 per year.
There is a $2 fee for withdrawing from a ATM.
It costs nothing to receive money.
The fee for the account/virtual card is $5.
It cost $.25 to send to other personal accounts no matter the amount you send.

$2 everytime you want to take some money out?!!!!!!!! oh thats not good. $35 a year? thats also not good, but i seriously like the idea of not taking all the cheques to the bank every week.

well, every time you used your regular bank card at an atm you get charged $1 or more. Every time you use you regular bank card at a store to pay for something you get charged $1 or more. So in reality, the $20 you have to pay is nothing. Ya, the $35 a year is a little nuts, but what can you do? Could always be worse.

I've only used it at an ATM once or twice. Use it in shops that have card readers and you don't have to pay the 2$ bite every time.

Does my time clock for my fee start when I finally get the card or when I bought it? Cause I bought the card a month ago and its still not here yet (yes, you are sending a replacement, but its not here yet) so I think I should get a 1.5 month extension on my fee.

6. Applying for one from the UK is NOT usually instant and a huge pain in the arse. The charges do not show up on most UK accounts unfortunately so you need to use steps 2 or 3. Not a problem I suppose if you want to fuck about wire transferring money (and the expense incurred) or trying to send faxes internationally (who the fuck uses fax these days? It's no more secure than sending digital/email copies).

As you probably gathered I gave up. I really wouldn't have enough use for an account to be bothered with the steps needed to open one from the UK. Obviously though if you would find it useful then the effort may be worth it.

You and me both. But then I suppose it goes back to the 'how useful is it to me?' thing. I have no prob cashing dollar cheques but for those that do I suppose it may be worth jumping through hoops.

People in the UK have told me about nothing but problems opening the account.

However, if you have someone open one for you, there is no verification process and you don't need a credit card, so it's painless.

He's referring to sponsors. If your sponsor has epassporte, ask them to open an account for you, that's how I got my accout.
However epassporte support is very bad if you need them. I sent them a few emails 1 month ago and still no reply!
Keyser Soze replied very fast but then forwarded my email to account verification and again no reply for 1 week.

I use my card all the time in Scotland to withdraw my money. The only issue I have with them is the exchange rate used it much higher than the real rate. I'm paying well over 2:1 from dollars to sterling. But its still the best way to get my money.

I'll take a better look next time i use it scotty
