xmas is honestly great with little kids around. I was never big on it before I had my own family, but now I love this time of year.

hey, its what keeps the economy spinnin' round. i am not a huge fan either but do enjoy time with the family as i live 8 hours away from them. as for the shut shops...must be different over there. holiday season means even longer open hours than usual.

No you probably arent the only person, there are a ton of sour or antisocial people, even those who get offended by it having a religious undertone. I know some people like that, and they are miserable to be around most of the year anyway, so those sorts of people are just best avoided.

Personally I love the time of year. Have a great time seeing friends and family and relaxing with good company

We don't do the presents crap, or get caught up in the huge shopping thing .. so its all low key and enjoyable.
