To address your points:
Extreme Associates and Diabolic have never advertised with XBIZ. Anabolic has, but not while Ricky was with them - and they don't currently and haven't in some time.

To my knowledge, Kayden420.com is not related to any company but Ricky's own (which doesn't advertise with us).

When Ricky was named a "Top 10 Director" he wasn't up for any award at all; he was featured in a magazine piece that highlighted the Top 10 up-and-coming directors at that time.

ADG, I always admire your intelligent and insightful posts. I realize that in some people's estimation the well may be poisoned when it comes to questioning the validity of porn awards shows, but it's not fair to paint XBIZ with that same broad brush.

We've always played fair and down the middle - in fact, I think that's one of the big reasons for our success.

Xbiz awards are a meaningless joke. You can nominate yourself for christs sake and get on the "nominated" list..

the fact that they even have Adultdesign.com on that nominated list just shows what a clueless joke whoever runs that bogus stuff is.... they make some of the most God Aweful quality web design you can find anywhere.

Yes, because the nominations come from the industry, not from XBIZ -- and folks can and do vote for themselves. But to get on what is really the finalists list requires that many other folks nominate you too.

When folks see someone listed and shake their head wondering why such and such a company made it, the reason is simple: your peers thought they deserved to, even if you didn't -- it really is a popularity contest -- and if a company doesn't receive enough nominations to become a finalist, they need to look at themselves, not criticize what is a very fair process that is participated in by industry professionals (nominations were only accepted from XBIZ.net members this year -- you need to be a verified industry peep to join, not just a surfer or some designer's facebook buddies)
