I was going to post and ask the same question today but you beat me to it...

Some people at another forum suggested http://bankcrozier.com/ but i don't know, it seems a little bit to cheap...

Actually the 1000 is a deposit and not a fee, you still have the money...

Well latvia seems a little bit risky...

I found this site, gonna try contacting a bank in swiss directly instead of going through an agent.

Latvia is one of best offshores for banking, many that do international business recommended to use latvia banks
MiltiBanka (http://multibanka.com/), Rietumu Banka (http://rietumu.lv), etc
Cyprus also regarded for its offshore banking

My advice is to go for someone outside EU. Latvia will join EU in 2004 as you know.

What is the best way to quietly move money offshore? Money orders or something like that?

Used these guys to set up my US corp, bank accounts, mail and phone forwarding:

http://www.nationalbusinessinc.com/main.html

They also offer IBC's and offshore bank accounts for $2500+ but I havent used them for that so cant reccommend them.

Im guessing why you want an offshore account... I wouldnt do ANYTHING unless you've talked to some professionals about it.

Best way is a offshore company (Bahama, Panama) + bank account.

Latvian Banks:
http://www.bank.lv/eng/info/jaunzin/ - The bank of Latvia

http://www.parex.net/
http://www.rietumu.com

internet banking, debit CC - no problem.

Scandinavian Bank Group:
http://www.nordea.com/eng/

yambo.biz - less than one year in business. This is only offshore company, the big risk.

If you want somewhere not so unstable as central America, try offshore banks in:

The Isle of Man
Gurnsey
Jersey

lol I already have an account there but they report all transactions over $7500 to the government plus they will report you if they think that you are doing illegal shit such as not paying tax.

yambo.biz is run by Russians.

http://www.wsr.biz - I've ordered a Delaware corp from them about a month ago and it's still not ready. Their support doesn't respond unless you YELL.

BTW, if your in the USA, don't even think about it. There hitting ALL americans who are trying to do just that really hard. They are requiring banks to tell them if there are any customers with Visa/mastercard accounts in Offshore accounts and other shit.

To those outside USA, I'm sure it would work but if your Auditted your fucked.

Do they issue debit cc's?

Which of the latvian banks do this?

When it comes time to do my incorporation I was going to use www.loyalbank.com
