    Issue with Certified/ Naked Hosting???

Upon general recommendation here at GFY I went on one of their yearly plans for shared hosting (nerd).

I've only been with them for a few weeks... setup, support, everything's fine, but boy are they slow. Accessing any pages takes sometimes 30secs to load. I know it's shared and I don't have high expectations, but this is ridiculous. On top of that it's the second time I can't even access my sites, right now. Completely down. This is after I've contacted support a couple of times and they said high-load from other customers on that server and a hard-drive failure - but fixed now.

I was just wondering if it's just me, just my server? or is anyone else is having issues with Certified hosting currently? Hopefully it's a temp thing, but I'm losing hope, fast... It'd hate to move everything. But in terms of speed, this is the worst I've experienced?!

      works fine with me...
I have 3 accounts in there on different servers and all are ok.

both static and dynamic, but nothing intensive

server is 'saleen', I'm beginning to think they put me on a lemon

I'm wondering if they can move me or similar... can't get through to support either right now, seems they're busy, prob trying to fix the server I'm on... problem is this has been going on since I've been on the darn thing (few weeks), so it's not a temp issue

I tried the pingdom tool and it says 'URL doesn't exist'

finally managed to get through to support live chat, after about 6 attempts and here's the transcript:

Todd: Hello Welcome to Certified Hosting Live Chat. This is Todd, how may I assist you today?
            p: hi, i'm xxx
p: just complained earlier about server speeds... support said it was fixed... now all sites down, can't get access at all?
Todd: Yes, we are aware of the issues and working on them already
p: what is the issue, I have to say I'm getting frustrated with this server, big time!!!

Todd has left the chat conversation

The issues are related to single shared servers only. One having a hard drive issue and another with a single account slamming the server.

I am sorry your live chat was disconnected, it was not purposely.

I've heard from someone else their shared server is super slow. They are moving from them.

On the flip side, I know some people with dedicated servers who say they are fast.

I guess stay clear of the shared accounts.

It's shared hosting guys. It's cheap as hell. As far as shared hosting goes, we do a damn good job of providing CHEAP hosting with all features, FFMPEG, etc. No one else comes close to offering all those features for the price we charge.

Shared hosting comes with its issues no doubt. You are sharing resorces with others plain and simple. If your business is mission critical or you reply on it to make you money, PLEASE invest in your business, and go with a dedicated server. I can not stress this enough.

Again, sorry for the troubles. They should be resolved soon. If you want to be moved to another server just let us know.

                    Called support, vented a little.

Said I've had terrible speeds for 4 weeks, am I on a lemon?
Support said to be expected on shared host.
I said well, I'm not expecting lighting fast speeds, but after the worst experience of any shared host ever, I'm still hoping I'm on a lemon, and all will be fixed by moving server?
Support said, the same could happen on another server?
I said, so you recommend I cancel now?

Anyway, requested server move via support ticket.

Fingers crossed I picked the short straw and all will be fine from here!

yes, understandable... and temp issues fine also, but ongoing for 4 weeks... unacceptable!

... and I've been and am with several shared hosts and dedicated servers
just running a few little blogs for now on the server to test the waters, that a shared server should handle no?

everything else support, setup, features all ok to good so far, just the speed and downtime issues... and the thing is that kind of the most important thing

That is the problem with shared hosting ( Virtual ) and even more with adult shared hosting.... One client can bring the box down ( and that client could be on his own dedicated and bring his own box down ... ) .

Reason why we got out of adult virtual ( aside from a few client that we kept ) ...

I am sure NakedHosting is doing their best to resolve the issue .
I know that Asspimple is stoopid ... As he says, it is a FACT !

But I can't figure out how he can breathe or type , at the same time ....

overheated a bit yesterday... but I'm ok now

yes, sure if I was to get decent traffic and number of sites, dedicated server, but with just a few small 'non money' sites... well that's what shared is for in my opinion

Anyway, got confirmation that the move is completed and speeds are better. So that was handled quickly!

In my cpanel, it still says saleen (my old server) though, so not sure if the info hasn't been updated?

Anyhow, as long as speeds stay decent from now on I'll be fine

                                  quick update...

so far, so good, haven't had speed issues since the move and everything was attended to pretty quickly

if things stay that way, I'll be happy
