    MW2 Map Pack is fucking stupid

    The new maps for the PS3 version only became available here late last night.

    With the new maps, you can't select which game mode you want to play. It picks one for you at "random". (apparently)

    I've played about 20 games now and still no Free-For-All. It's nearly always Headquarters. Who's fucking idea was this ??

    It's supposed to make players try out the other game modes. But i just paid another £10.99 for the maps. Let me make my own choice dammit !!



    Is it the same for X-Box 360 ???

          The 360 maps work fine now but I believe there was a similar issue when the new maps were released. It was working normal after 24 hrs.

              It was the same for xbox 360. I think they kept it like that for 1-2 weeks before letting the new map pack into the regular "map rotation".

              Which meant that anyone that wanted to play the new maps had to randomly play diffirent game modes.

              Not sure how long they will be in random mode on the PS3. Check infinityward.com for info if you want. Im sure the ps3 section has more irritated guys. ;-)

                  You actually paid for that? It's such a rip-off; it is the most expensive map pack ever introduced to any FPS ever. The only way Activision will learn their lesson is if gamers don't buy overpriced stuff like that.

                  And as you can see, Activision also likes to keep you on a short leash with their content. You gotta speak with your wallet, it's the only way they'll listen.

                      You should check out SOCOM Confrontation. Makes MW2 look like an 80's arcade game!

                          The problem is everyone DID buy it and it turned out to be very profitable for Activision allowing them to push the price envelope for future DLC even further.

                          Not to get off topic but Treyarch will release the next COD this November called Call of Duty: Black Ops.

                          It's going to be about extreme missions using extreme weapons set in the Arctic, Cuba and Vietnam.

                                  I know with the 360, when map packs are released you have to play a mix of team games if you choose to play only the new maps. There is never any free for all at first.

                                  I would say to try out the new game modes you usually don't play, I bet you will find a few you like. I was the same way with WAW and then I played a few rounds of domination, now it's my favorite game mode.

                                          I got pissed with MW2 online, they seriously need to get some patches going. I went back to World At War or COD4. I want to get battlefield2.

                                              Monthly fee? forget that! They will alienate alot of gamers if they do that. I like that they brought back Crash and overgrown, but the other 3 maps are lagging a bit. They're just missing something
