where did he get this information? I have been living in Montreal for about 5 years now & 50% of women here are obese & the other 50% with there bitchy attitudes, that makes them even more uglier!

There are much sexier women in this world then Montreal, for instance EUROPE....

Ha ha, I guess you've been there too long. I don't know how that is possible in such a big city, though.

So look at the 5 cities you decided to point out, and tell me if you disagree they are the best for that country.

Hmmm... have you ever been to Germany? Actually I doubt it, otherwise you probably wouldn't think that Frankfurt is the best city here.

There's only one city where you can :rasta as much as you want, party as much as you want, have sex as much as you want, where people are relaxed and you're not bothered with all kind of weird laws against porn....

:smokin Amsterdam :smokin

I wish I... oh.. nevermind. I already live there.

You can't put a winter fecking freezing cold city as top of the world.

Give me sunshine everyday and i'm happy, winter just sucks.

Sammy

It's not cold ALL of the time in Montreal, and most places has it cold in the winter, so it's not all bad. Just take a peak during the summer and you may change your mind. :)

TheFLY 12-18-2002 11:03 AM

After watching "Bowling for Columbine" -- I was pretty impressed with the Canadians... I'm actually French Canadian blood :)

It's 27F in Montreal right now. It has only once in recorded history been that cold here! (1917)

My father and I travelled to Montreal to do genealogy research. I am directly descended from the first carpenter in Montreal. I was only 17 so difficult to say whether I would like it but seemed like a pretty sweet city to live in.

traffictrader 12-18-2002 01:28 PM

Montreal is nice.. but Vancouver B.C seems better. I live in Seattle, and I love visiting Vancouver... its just like seattle, only w/o the crime and "thugs" but just as many homeless people =/

L0stMind 12-18-2002 01:37 PM

I like New York.

I like Vancouver.

I never been to Montreal so I cant say anything bout it.

Frankfurt *IS* boring. Many other cool places in Germany to go to.

I like Hong Kong.

I like Tokyo and Sapporo.

I dont think any of them are the best, they each have good points and bad points but it's the diversity that makes them cool.

HQ 12-18-2002 02:15 PM

What about Tampa Bay, Florida? I had a buddy head down there a week ago.

nikudorei 12-18-2002 03:26 PM

Perth in Western Australia is a great place to live. Very pretty and clean, about 1.5m people... cheap real estate and good schools.

*my 2c worth*

Kbee 12-18-2002 07:16 PM

I used to live 45 minutes from Tampa. I don't like Tampa that much. Most of it is rundown looking.

Holy shit. But, like you said, it's only the second time that's happened. Take a look at the lowest temperatures of any place ever recorded, and I bet they are all pretty low. Global warming's in effect, anyway, so it'll get warmer. :1orglaugh

quiet 12-19-2002 06:06 AM

this is good to hear :glugglug

i'm moving to QB City this Feb for about 5 weeks (one of the guys who works for me lives there) to hang out for awhile.

Really? I guess the outskirts of Cancun are the same way. Go to cancun and you don't really see how poor the place really is.

About Tampa. Same as anywhere. There are really sweet upscale areas too. It seems anywhere you try to go in Tampa takes you past the projects. They're just very visible.

There's some serious ghetto here in Miami too but I never actually see it.

It's crazy to see a place where there's millions invested into buildings and attractions, and then very close by there's the low end of the scale in the ghettos where there's just nothing...

Although the language questions become mundane, we hear that they provide for good entertainment.
Montreal Quebec MAY be a decent place to live according that website I never heard of run by Montrealers, but is it a good place to do business?

Where does the Province of Quebec rank on the North American Freedom Index? Answer: last.

Although Quebec enjoys the same benefits of geography and resource wealth as Ontario, Quebec's even lower level of economic freedom has left it economically well behind Ontario and even the poorest, most disadvantaged US states.
Montreal is a fine place to visit and perhaps to live for a time, and I have many good friends and family there - but you could not pay me ANY amount of money to move myself and my business there.

I couldn't live someplace where the language stormtroopers can burst in at any time of the night and haul me away for running my internet business in English. Or Cantonese. Or Spanish.

Probono 12-19-2002 07:07 PM

As for me I love Amsterdam and wish I could figure out a way to live there.

Disneyland for adults all the time.

When i was 16 my dad rented condo in Pacific Beach and we stayed there for a week. I had a great time and regretted leaving?

This summer I went there for 4 days and hung out in the same area that I was before?I would have really liked to have lived in Pacific Beach/Mission Beach from 16 to 26

It must rock to be able to hit the autobahn whenever you feel like it. It's too bad people didn't know how to drive over here, maybe we could have an autobahn, as well. If we implemented one now, there'd be so many fucking accidents it'd be crazy.

No but you compete driving by the bars at the yacht port ... impressing the chicks ... that's the real competition.

By the way: only the Elite gets a license to drive into the port area.

Hehe, that is such a load of bull, lol
People think the french people in montreal are some kind of fascists and take you to prison for not speaking their language, haha

Actually, if you came here, you'd see that english is as widely used as french, and most french people speak english as well, while the opposite is not true. And about running your business in english, it's only for people that have stores and have signs displayed outside for promotion or stuff like that, then they must have the french translation as big as the original text on the sign, but that does not seem to bother much people here...

Stormtroopers, hehe, we're not the US here, lol
