Holiday Traditions - Share your GOOD ones as well as the BAD

The Chirstmas Holiday is a time of year that is celebrated in many ways around the world.

Many of us have certain Holiday Traditions that can range from something as simple as hanging a stocking to as elaborate as decorating a house with 100,000+ lights and out shining all the neighbors.

It is not only as a religious holiday but as a time when families and friends come together to enjoy the season which leads me to the following question...

What are some of the GOOD and BAD traditions that you celebrate???

GOOD - This is the only time of year that I can enjoy a good old fashioned Egg Nog flavored with my favorite bourbon or brandy and a little cinnamon & nutmeg.... ahhhh I can taste it now.
May have to give this a try!


BAD - The present opening ritual at my mother-in-laws house. Can't think of anything I hate worse than sitting around the living room and going around in a big circle with everyone opening ONE present at a time... usually a 3 to 4 hour ordeal
