We dont have much of an issue with that here either.. Tooo many trophy moms and the hiusbands drop the kids on the way to work while the moms are at the gym already.

I drop them off on the way to the gym as my girlfriend is already at work.. She has to start early as she picks them up at 3pm when they get out...
Kids need to be in school 8 hours a day or we need to work less hours....

Personally, I wouldn't question the mom in the fire lane sending a text, better than doing it while driving. I'm more than sure she would move if a fire truck did come but I would question her sending her kid into a burning building with the fire truck pulling in.

what gets me is kids dont walk to school these days even if its a few blocks away
no wonder they are fat and lazy

when i was a kid i use to walk to school every day

Me too. And it was 3 miles, uphill - both ways. And always snowing. And I didnt have shoes.

I hear you. I used to walk to school with my mother when I was in primary school and in secondary would cycle the 5 miles to and from school each day. Snow, rain or shine I would have to cycle as there was no buses that would go straight there and my father worked in the city each day so could not take me.
