That kind of thinking is actually a really good way to design a site. I've found by making things more difficult, and giving the users options to do things like "click around" or "fast forward to the important stuff", I generally retain very well.

people need to stop the organic backlinking to them unless your intention is to help see google sending them toward the top for review terms... their concept is such that natural organic linking might happen to some extent anyways

It's a nice way to see what is in your competitors member's area with out having to go join a bunch of sites.

I just watch a review..... everything in these sites you can find in tube sites. How does any one make membership site sales any more to pic and vid sites that don't offer any interaction.

I bet some people won't be happy with these reviews. Like I saw a review of a site with 2 pre-checked x-sells and then after joining you won't get your user/pass unless you click a link that instantly subscribes you to another site. Then one week after joining the mailbox was competely filled with spam.

This could be seriously huge, if they indeed do break through im sure smaller well run sites will be seeing a lot of traffic from them.

And a LOT of the bigger sites take a slight hit.

The main thing would be that the surfer who was ALREADY thinking about joining a particular site can now see for himself and not have to rely on an uneducated review done by a person who doesn't understand the niche.

In most cases the surfer himself KNOWS the niche he loves. And all he really wants to know is does the site satisfy him on the inside. All the text review sites all concentrate on everything BUT the actual action in the scenes. Totally worthless to a guy who is a serious buyer and has his mind set on something.

And that guy who already wants to join a site is pure gold. Half the time the existing review sites discourage them from joining with their cold reviews. Hell, I can't think of a single review I've ever read that told me something that got my dick hard and wanted to make me join. Instead they go down a check list of crap that a guy who is turned on by a particular site could care less about.

But with this site...if I wanted to join Rachel Aziani, I can watch that vid and make up my own mind. The person doing the "review" is almost irrelevant as I can now see for myself. I don't need to read any "scores" or the opinion of a guy who likes black teens trying to review Rachel's site. The surfer is already an "expert" in what he wants by the time he bothers to look up the site.

All he needs to know at that point is 1. Is the content inside lots of big tit Rachel Aziani? 2. Am I gonna get screwed?

That way if the guy had any worries they just got addressed and he can join without an uneducated opinion to fuck up the sale.

video review idea is not new. in fact i did videopornreviews.com years ago on a different scale. turns out people prefer screenshots of the members area over watching an actual flash video. i know mantas and rick do not need to be worried and i doubt they are. nicely done but just another site.

Yes, I agree, my conversions for video vs. static is only about 5-8 percent more. Which may be good for some, but it hasn't made me a bazillionaire doing quicktime reviews.

Actually most of my conversions via traffic is on the index pages.

Text review sites are text for a reason. They want search traffic and it's how they bring in almost all their traffic. While they both call themselves review sites, they are targeting completely different demographics and traffic sources.

I think it's a cool concept and looks well done. My only gripe would be the length of the reviews. I just don't see myself sitting through a 10 minute review on a porn site. If you're deciding between 3 sites in a niche, do you really want to spend the next half hour listening to a guy talk about the sites? I'm sure there are some people that do and it will cater to them, but I'd like a little more fast paced review.

I looked at a few of the reviews and the concept is awesome. Finding out about the "problem" sites can do nothing but good to the industry. My small criticism is it's a webmasters review rather than a porn buyers review. No where did I see a review of the porn quality of the content. They need to download some of the videos and see how good they are to the porn buyer ie the videos wank ability.

Without that it's like a restaurant review without tasting the meal.

Still an improvement on many review sites, the girl at the beginning gets a bit repetitive after a while.

The true test of the site will be how many of the viewers come back for their next sign up. Getting new traffic is good, keeping it buying is best.

I noticed some of that too. He would download the movie, just to see how fast the download speed was then close it. There was no comment on if the content was any good or not nor was there any mention of the video quality. Of course I only watched a few reviews, maybe he does that on some of the other reviews.

If I were going to a review site I want to know if the site has in it what the tour promises, but I also want to know if the movies and pictures are any good.

The problem with this is you're not actually a surfer. You wouldn't spend half an hour online looking for the 'perfect' one to join because you probably have better things to do with your time on the PC.

There are millions of people out there who devote 10+ hours a day playing online video games, chances are they're not going to be fussed about 30 minutes of a website review.

I believe the buyer of online porn today is prepared to invest a little time in finding the site he wants to join for 30 days. He's probably a repeat buy, probably been ripped off before and now very wary.

Finding out about the "problem" sites can do nothing but good to the industry. My small criticism is it's a webmasters review rather than a porn buyers review. No where did I see a review of the porn quality of the content. They need to download some of the videos and see how good they are to the porn buyer ie the videos wank ability. Without that it's like a restaurant review without tasting the meal. Still an improvement on many review sites, the girl at the beginning gets a bit repetitive after a while. The true test of the site will be how many of the viewers come back for their next sign up.
