    Dog Day at the beach and I've got pics!

    I'm vacationing on Florida's lower gulf coast right now and they have a really nice dog park
    that's right on the beach. I decided to take my Golden Retriever there so he could
    chase tennis balls and play in the water. He's a really cool dog and likes to make friends with everyone including this nice
    German Shepherd. The temp was in the low 70s and the weather was perfect. It's a beautiful place
    filled with fish, birds and other wildlife. After a long day we caught an awesome sunset at the old fishing pier.

    Not a bad way to spend the day.

                                                                                                                              Just a bit south of Ft. Myers in Bonita Beach.
                                                                                                                              Great at low tide and almost covered up at high tide.
                                                                                                                              Extreme tides were in full effect because of the full moon.

                                                                                                                              Here's an overlook as high tide approaches. At dead low the area is exposed all the way back to the boat channel.

                                                                                                                                                          There's only one place along that stretch of coast that allows dogs. I'm not sure what they call it. Dog Beach sounds good to me.

                                                                                                                                                          It's farther south of Ft. Myers beach. And south of Estero. It's closer to Bonita Beach but if you want to narrow the location down it's between Hickory pass and Lover's key.
