Yep, they piss me off to no end. These assholes? even think it is cute to stay in the lane of traffic at a stop light and then take off with traffic or hold up the turning lane while they try to gain speed. They have bike lanes here and these assholes still feel they can ride 6 abreast and the hell with everyone else.

Common sense tells me, if the vehicle or object is larger than me, can cause death or bodily harm, move out of the way! I usually lay on the horn, it pisses them off and at least I got there attention if not caused some embarrassment for them.

Fuck the sidewalk, road made for cars are Much better quality - at least here in Hungary... For racing bicycles the sidewalk is not an option at all.

30-80k [!!!] bikers across Budapest twice a year, demonstrating for better and more roads.

In Japan you have to be carefull not to abruptly change directions while walking on the sidewalk or else you'll get a bicyclist up your a$$.

For a short period in Australia it was illegal for a mother or father to ride on the footpath (what we call a sidewalk) with their kid. Going for a ride with your kid would have been interesting...

Here where I live its posted on all main sidewalks not to ride your bike on the sidewalks. I still ride on the fucking sidewalks, especially when my girlfriend is riding with me. I could handle it, but no way could she handle riding in traffic.

What i think the warnings should say is "no inconsiderate little fucks on bikes and skateboards allowed on sidewalks"

I can ride just fine and go slow in the right potentially congested city areas.

Kids have always been allowed to ride on the footpath, but at the time the new law was introduced adults were not. An exception was later added to allow parents to ride with their children on the footpath, which got around the ridiculous situation of a parent having to negotiate road traffic while trying to watch/teach their kid on the footpath.
