Are you going to be pretty broke the next couple months? Yes, that's the real reason you're switching hosts, your current one won't give you the next 2 months free.

If you want 100% reliability, which affiliates demand, try Phatservers. I can vouch for them we have our servers with them and no problems.

If you want 100% uptime, be prepared to pay for a redundant cluster hosted in different datacenters. The lowest you can go with such solution is near 5k euro/month ( $7.5 k ). This assumes its all managed and going for the cheap.
Unfortunately there is absolutely no way to ensure 100% uptime if you host in the same datacenter.
There are cheaper solutions, but 100% uptime is impossible to guarantee because if the entire datacenter blows due to a generator explosion (already happened once to us) you will have downtime.

I can give you 2 months of such hosting for free. Just sign one year contract, pay the full year (10 months) upfront, and you get 2 months for free. If you pay 5 months, you get 1 free month (6 months in total).

100% absolute uptime may not be possible, but many hosts "guarantee" that with an SLA.

Of course if it's a serious outage (several hours) then getting a 100% discount on your next bill isn't really much compensation.

content on a low-cost cdn, good front-end mirrors.

ideally u need a good webmaster to figure this out for you.
