?Valid CSS? and Similar Claims Are Unprofessional

    He compares it to:
    * a coiffeur claims to be able to cut hair,
    * a soldier claims to handle firearms,
    * a culinary says he could do the cooking,
    * an auto shop claims to cater for roadworthy cars, or
    * a doctor claims he has knowledge of the human body?

[...] So please remove these buttons and links and whatever from your documents and once more show that you’re a real professional.

I hate those buttons. The code should be valid in the first place and I've seen "Valid" XHTML pages that don't work properly in about half of the browsers. I know that's different in a way, but in my opinion a page isn't "valid" unless it looks exactly the same in the majority of the browsers. People seem to be obsessed with one thing, neglecting the more important matters.

I also laugh at those "Best Viewed In FF/IE" buttons, what a fucking joke.

      Im with you...

I dont code to the mass public's irrational standards...

I make pages that look the same... regardless of "validation"

If a client insists on it I do the best I can while keeping the look the same.

But to me, its no rule at all...

We should make adult versions of these buttons like:

"Best viewed with a credit card in hand"
"Best viewed while touching yourself for a better interactive experience"
