I'd say that's an unfair and unqualified statement. The spectrum of nominations and past winners is extremely broad.
As for the web presence of nominations, there are some there but historically the AVN Awards have been and are more about movies/videos and the corresponding actors/actresses and scenes in those movies and videos.Comment

Oh come on - do you honestly think this whole award stuff is a democratic or independent process? Have you seen a voting system put in place that is transparent to not allow rigging? Have you seen any sort of non-AVN voting system and decision process that has made you come to the conclusion it isn't an advertiser-based mileage reward scheme?

She's not even pictured on their website's header last I checked. She started in 2009 known as Heather Starlet. After the AEE convention this year, her family staged an intervention and she soon found God. So she starts in 2009 as Heather Starlet. Leaves after the AEE convention (January). Signs with Digital Playground in September who are known to buy awards with their deep pockets. Explain that!!
