In fairness, most people who are put on the spot like that would react the same way when asked about any political issue.
but wait, these are not most people, these are "book reading, politically involved people" shouldnt they know the issues? If you attend political gatherings, with book in hand, you should at least know a little about the person you are there to support. They read her book and still dont know what her policies are.

You're kidding right? I can't tell. Look at the society we live in, dominated by reality tv, the internet, social networking, and the need for celebrity status or to get as close to one as possible.
I would be willing to bet 90% of those people will never even open that book other than to show it off to their friends and families at dinner parties. It is also VERY and all to common that people follow the politics of the state like blind sheep and when questioned they can not say why that candidate is their choice.
I went through these conversation with my father when GW Bush was up for re-election. He told me he was voting for him and I asked why? I lined out the reasons he was a poor choice given his track record in his first term. He came back with something about the guys at work this and that, blah blah blah. Not one reason why.
Almost all of society does not want to be bothered with facts or political information. All they want is:
- The hot new game out for PC, PS3, Wii, Xbox, etc.
- Their reality TV. (Fat people watching fat people lose weight on tv, what a joke)
- The big new HD TV or
- Whatever other new technology will make them look cool.
- Whatever hot new trend that GQ or Cosmo tells them they have to have or do or how to act and why?
- Whatever rehashed, unoriginal, brain dead movie that is just getting released.
- Social Networking sites were they feel important with 500 virtual friends when they can't even maintain 1 in real life.
"The towers are gone now, reduced to bloody rubble, along with all hopes for Peace in Our Time, in the United States or any other country. Make no mistake about it: We are At War now -- with somebody -- and we will stay At War with that mysterious Enemy for the rest of our lives." H.S.T. 09/12/01
I understand if people don't have a firm grasp on all the issues of the world. People have lives they have to live and may not pay that much attention when it isn't an election year. What made me laugh is that many of these people have such strong opinions about shit they clearly don't understand. My favorite is the guy who is very afraid of what Obama is doing to the country, but can't seem to name even one thing he is doing.
the liberal media is a joke. theyre reeling and reeling hard. obama is really embarassing them so they need shit like this
I would say, probably so.... Heck, Obama is allowing these anti-Americans to be in our Country, then he's allowing them to show support for a bimbo and finally, for the love of god he is allowing them to speak in general.....
What a total embarrassment... This doesn't only look bad on Obama, it makes America look bad too.
P.S. It was a Left media group, not Liberal. Unless Right now means Christian Extremist - then I'm cool with it.
