The only way you can get broadcast, hotel, or foreign rights deals is if you have physical media.

That is enough reason to put your content out on DVD.

I understand that. However, those combined don't bring in a lot of money these days. It's better than nothing of course, but if this guy is relying on someone else to do it for him, you honestly think he's going to be able to collect? I don't.

If he's able to do it all himself or actually has some weight to throw around to make sure things get done, sure, but just another guy wanting to get into the DVD market, good luck.

Normally I would agree with you; however, I looked at his content and I feel it would do pretty well on broadcast.

If he was to find a large disributor they would help him get a good broadcast deal

The DVDs sales would probably just break even these days after you add in the cost of printing, box cover design, replication, and shipping.

Far from the truth, we have never created a dvd lable and ship raw files only but doing well that way.
