i was born and raised in alaska
i grew up in the commercial fishing industry

i first began working summers (4 months in the middle of nowhere) with my father on his salmon boat

i've seen millions of metric tons of fish come on board a fishing boat and watched them die.

1) its a fish.
2) its dead.

its not crying. its not weeping. its not screaming out its mothers name. it did not have a promising life of curing cancer or world hunger cut short. its just a simple organism, barely more than a worm with a super primitive nervous system and doesn't experience pain as you seem to think it does.

i really don't get some of you people.

you really have nothing else in your life worth caring about?

your life and existence is so empty, meaningless and pointless that you care what happens to a fish?... seems to me that if you guys cared... beyond feigning outrage on a porn forum, you would be spending your time helping war victims in afghanistan to helping to feed africa.

the honest truth is that you really don't care. you don't care about anything but yourself and you need these kind of things to point the finger at, comment on and convince yourself that you do.

you're just fucking hypocrites. the primary difference between your and my perspective is that i am not pretending to care. i am not feigning outrage to convince myself and others that i'm a good person. i don't need that to feel good about myself. its a fish. someone is eating it. end of story.

Nobody here in pretending to care about anything. They have watched a video which they don't like. That's about it.
