I'm dealing with someone who wants to use seizethedomain.com for an escrow transaction but I've never heard of them and couldn't find any information on their site about escrow services.

The buyer wants to use escrow, the buyer pays the fees, therefore he chooses the escrow service. I just wanted someone to vouch that this service was legit, and instead I get a bunch of fucking retarded monkeys spamming other services.

He's legit as far as I'm aware. I've never dealt with him but being that I'm in the domain biz, I'm usually hip to whatever scammy shit is going on and he's not among that - just a smaller escrow company. If the buyer's wanting to go through them, they've probably had a solid experience using them already and/or have had bad experiences with the likes of Escrow.com, Moniker, Sedo etc. If it were me selling, I wouldn't be worried with using them.
NEVER however pay for an appraisal because a potential buyer is suggesting it with a particular place. I sell domains for a living, have been involved in several hundred sales transactions and have never once had a legitimate buyer ask me to pay for an appraisal on a domain they were interested in - that's 100% scam.Last edited by PornMD; 11-15-2009, 04:01 PM.Want to crush it in mainstream with Facebook ads? escrow.com for domain transfers is bullshit. They are fine if you trust the seller/buyer (but then why would you use escrow?) but considering they don't take control of the domain, and rely on little more then whois information (which is obviously a very shotty way of conducting escrow) it leaves both the buyer and seller way too vulnerable. What is to stop the seller pushing the domain to another one of his own fake accounts and claiming the push occurred or vice versa? I don't really love moniker typically, but for escrow they certainly offer the most peace of mind.ICQ: 637//961--015Comment
