IRAN "secret" Nuclear facilities

"U.S. officials told CNN on Thursday that the United States had evidence Iran had been secretly building large nuclear facilities that could possibly be used to make nuclear weapons and that the IAEA has not been able to visit them."

...

"IAEA Director-General Mohamed ElBaradei said the Iranians told him the construction was for an ambitious, long-range nuclear power program and invited an inspection team to visit the facilities.

"We have known about it since August and have been talking with them since that time," ElBaradei told CNN's Christiane Amanpour. "It is, as we understand, a few years away from being fully operational."

Considering our recent track record.. do you think the US claims of Iraq's secret nuclear facilities are true or false ? Please don't use this as a thread to bash the US. Stick to the topic. I'm just wondering about the evidence we claim we have but don't have to show.

Just a lot of claims, but showing no one evidence. Kind of like a lot of GFY threads. ;)

We all know whats going on, eventually these arab fuckers want to have nukes so they can invade & destory israel.

End of story....but israel will nuke them before they ever have a chance. And we are trying to stop that....because we know it will spark a even bigger war eventually.

They tend to keep to themselves, but I heard they could lose 10 tanks per 1 American tank and lose the amount of people equal to the entire population of the US, and not grow weak.
A war between the US and china would not be good. I think the US would jeopardize the world before they are put to their knees

Bush says he has undeniable evidence that Iraq has weapons of mass destruction.

So why can't he tell the inspectors where any of them are?

Has all the money spent watching from satelites, CIA, spys and informants on the ground been wasted?

Or is he waiting for the Inspectors to drive around 6 months before he's going to say anything?

He THINKS they have the weapons.

Is that a good enough reason to go to war?

It seems that most countries don't care who has what weapon. I guess they believe they are doing nothing wrong, so they won't be attacked.
The US seems to work backwards, and assumes someone making a nuke is going to use it, so they must be taken out....Doesn't this give the 'enemy' reason to use it?

I don't understand this logic.
Its like picking a fight with a complete stranger because that stranger *might* decide to attack you. HELLO?

Hopefully this madness ends soon and no country is attacked. I think the peaceful route is best.

Because UN inspectors have pledged to be impartial and not take any sides except for the UN's side. That's why he can't, two, everyone will be very pissed with him if he does, because this is the same type of mess that happened last time when his father had the UN inspectors doing spy work for him.

But everyone thought Saddam was nuts when he said the inspectors are spying on him and trying to kill him...

We don't need evidence.. we just use lots of hype to get people riled up enough to support the game..

Bush Sr. had a young girl visit the U.S. from Kuwait and had interviews telling of the Iraq soldiers taking babies from Incubators and laying them on the cold floor to die, then took the incubators... Then he would refer to this deal at all of his press conferences.. Come to find out it was the daughter of some upper eschelon female in Kuwait and she was coached by some firm in the U.S. to make it look sincere... it never happened..

Now Bush Jr. is using the same type of hype attempt with some aluminum tubes that they found.. Saying that they are used in the process of making atomic weapons or some shit as that.. when these tubes could be used for any number of things, totally unrelated to weapons.

I think Bush should think for like Clinton did... Bill focus on getting laid not of this other crap. haha

Without a doubt Bush is THE MOST dangerous person on the planet at this time. In some ways even more dangerous as Hitler was, at least Hitler could be stopped.

Bush is in the process of setting the stage to attack countries in his 'axis of evil' list. Its obvious that no matter what Iraq does they are going to be attacked. In recent weeks the Bush propaganda machine has been attempting to place fear in people about Iran and North Korea.

Hitler operated the same way, manipulated the German people into believing other countries were evil and were going to attack Germany in order to gain the people in backing him before invading a country.

Other eerie similarities between Hitler and Bush:

Both used ?national security? as an excuse to launch an assault on democratic freedoms.
In 1933 the Reichstag (the German Parliament) was
burned to the ground. Hitler blamed the communists and used this as an excuse to abolish Germanys constitution and remove personal freedoms in the name of security. Similar situation to 9/11. Later turned out the Nazi's were behind the fire.

Hitler was Time's Man of the Year in 1938, and Bush had that same dubious honor in 2000.

Both had proven to be failures in most of what they'd previously done.

Just as Hitler detached himself from the League of Nations, Bush has detached himself from the UN

Both were 'installed' into power, neither were elected.

Where would this nation be without ever getting involved in foreign affairs? Prehaps you should look at the freedom and wealth of our country and figure out how it got this way. Maybe the whole motive behind Iraq is based on the trillion dollar oil industry, look at it like this if Bush starts war and takes control of Iraq a Democrat will come along sometime behind him and benifit from the economic sky rocket, a investment if you will. Our children will benifit from it and bitch blindly in there time reguarding our country starting another war for our economic gain. Its nature just like a animal claiming its territory but in a more sophisticated fashion

ok, it was a conspiracy where everyone on both sides rigged the recounts so bush would win.
