V is an American science-fiction television series first broadcast on ABC starting November 3, 2009. A reimagining of the 1983 miniseries V created by Kenneth Johnson, the new series chronicles the arrival to Earth of a technologically advanced alien species who ostensibly come in peace but actually have sinister motives. V stars Morena Baccarin, Morris Chestnut, Joel Gretsch, Elizabeth Mitchell, and Scott Wolf, and is executive produced by Scott Rosenbaum, Scott Peters, and Jace Hall.

The show seemed "sanitized".... I mean the original was AMAZING.... I still remember that alien eating the rat whole... this pilot... there's nothing that remarkable about it to be honest... kinda boring.

Oh and theres already problems...

September 25, 2009 The network will likely air the first four episodes of the alien drama in November, with the remaining segments of the 13-episode order eyed for spring, probably March. What was described as incorrect information disseminated to the show's cast and crew led to a frenzy of emails around Hollywood declaring "V" dead as a series, with the produced episodes rumored to air as a mini-series, just like the 1984 original.

The original was amazing - it was about social, and civil unrest about people becoming wary of a government giving them the dog and pony show while they knew something was up.

If the remake was just as bad as I've heard, I'm somewhat glad that I have missed it.
