Brett Rogers doesn't have a damn thing to be ashamed of. Before his KO of Arlovski he hadn't fought anyone worth a shit, and he hadn't been tested at all. He went in there against the best fighter in the history of MMA and got his shots in, and I think his nerves beat him just as much as Fedor did. I was no fan of Brett Rogers before this fight, but he proved to me he has a hell of a future in MMA...Comment

As far as crying, Brett Rogers was understandably upset at himself for being too tentative in that fight, and he admitted that. At no point was he crying about anything, watch the fight again. When a man busts his ass to achieve something and he falls short he gets upset at himself, something I'm sure you wouldn't understand...Comment

I was is sport for many years, including 3 years of martial arts (not a lot, but at least something). BTW, I was living in very criminal place all my youth, so i learned some extra lessons on the streets (read below).
As we say here: you are not a man if you can't take a lose. I.e. a real fighter can't show that he is "upset". I think it's something that also came from the streets - because if you show it, you will show everyone that you are weak. This is something what no one will forget and will not forgive

Rogers definitely showed that he was a force to be reckoned with by the way he challenged Fedor. The Last Emperor is the greatest ever........ to test Emelianenko like that really says something about Rogers. He will get some more big fights in the future based on that performance.

Exactly, this time last year Brett Rogers was still changing tires at a Sam's Club and training MMA part-time. Before that win against Arlovski, who just might be shot, most of the guys he beat weren't household names in their own households. Rogers probably had no business being in there against Fedor at this point in his career, but stepped up and had a good showing against MMA royalty. I gotta give Rogers a pass on his post fight comments. I am no Brett Rogers fan, but the guy was essentially a MMA part-timer until recently. He went from changing tires at Sam's Club to fighting the best fighter in MMA, and who knows what would have happened if he actually followed his game plan.
I really think Rogers went in there with the intention of slugging it out with Fedor, but when the bell rang he suddenly realized "Holy shit, that's fucking Fedor across the cage from me!" and his nerves went to shit. I can't blame him for that, because if I was in a suit of armor carrying a baseball bat I would still try and climb over the top of the cage and run for my life.
Brett Rogers is a guy that has one notable win on his record against a guy that might never be the same again, and he was thrown to the wolves. He probably thought about what happened and realized that the outcome could have been different if he had let his hands go, since he did significant damage even though he was fighting like a deer in the headlights. I think he was just mad at himself for coming so far and not giving his best effort, and the emotion of that carried over to the post fight interview...Comment

fedor is awesome. however, by reading this thread, i thought rogers got knocked out in the first 10 seconds. jesus you people are retards. the guy was a fucking tire changer at sams club or some place less than 6 months ago and he's only had a couple real fights... steps up to the worlds best whos been competing at this level for most of his life, and fighting MMA for years against the best of the best and almost took him down. his career is just starting. fedors is winding down.

I know he was mad at himself, but he was also saying how he'd beat his ass and throw him around in the next fight (if there is ever going to be one). They just aren't words you say when you get ko'd and someone graciously offers you a rematch. Look at what Randy did when they announced the Minatauro descision. He nodded his head in agreement. 100% class. That's how Rogers should have been like. I understand he was mad, but there is no need to start talking about what he is going to do after the fight.

No one is taking anything away from Rogers. At least I am not. I was not partial to either of them. I wanted to see a good fight which I did. I was just let down by Rogers mouth at the end of the fight. It was just a lack of class. However, that does not mean he is not a classy fighter.
