I was is sport for many years, including 3 years of martial arts (not a lot, but at least something). BTW, I was living in very criminal place all my youth, so i learned some extra lessons on the streets (read below).
As we say here: you are not a man if you can't take a lose. I.e. a real fighter can't show that he is "upset". I think it's something that also came from the streets - because if you show it, you will show everyone that you are weak. This is something what no one will forget and will not forgive

Rogers definitely showed that he was a force to be reckoned with by the way he challenged Fedor. The Last Emperor is the greatest ever........ to test Emelianenko like that really says something about Rogers. He will get some more big fights in the future based on that performance.

That is nonsense. Rogers grew up in the Cabrini Green projects in Chicago which was one of the most violent and notorious neighborhoods in the world. rogers could have ended that fight at any time with one good punch. he put up a good fight and is a good heavyweight. you can't just say everyone who loses to fedor is a bum. the guy is a fucking machine.Comment

Exactly, this time last year Brett Rogers was still changing tires at a Sam's Club and training MMA part-time. Before that win against Arlovski, who just might be shot, most of the guys he beat weren't household names in their own households. Rogers probably had no business being in there against Fedor at this point in his career, but stepped up and had a good showing against MMA royalty. He has nothing to be ashamed of...Rogers definitely showed that he was a force to be reckoned with by the way he challenged Fedor. Ok, no a single word about him anymore, because as I said above - I don't care about that guy at all.
As about Fedor. The only thing I disliked was his after fight speech when he thanked that "orthodox christian people who was prying for him here in Russia". I don't like all that religious bullshit.
