Hmm. Celtic fans away usually behave themselves, it kicks off when it's the oldfirm derby, but that's always going to happen.. Rangers fans on the other hand seem to get in alot of trouble outside of Scotland.

The only team I dislike are Newcastle and that's because of the fans. They're crap but think they're not, yep they were good in the 60's well so was Blackpool, but they still don't cry about it.

Bryan you are completely right in saying its a minority for the most part, again tho Celtic have had NO trouble from fans for as long as I can remember. The minority of fans in a 50,000 crowd is just that, but when its that same minority who travel to all the away games and they dont exactly seem that small in a 3000 fan crowd anymore. I have good friends who are Rangers fans so I'm not a dick head, I'm being honest as my friends are to me when talking about their fellow supporters.

I don't believe I was a hypocrite in all fairness, show me the last time there was MAJOR trouble at a Celtic match? Maybe the biggest thing in the last 6 years was that guy running on the pitch when we scored in the last minute to beat AC Milan and he put his arm out to the goalkeeper while running past, the goalkeeper dropped to the ground and claimed the fan punched him. The Goalkeeper was later fined and suspended by FIFA for unsporting behaviour. Says it all for me

I get that its a minority, Leeds have had to endure the same issues for a small traveling band of idiots for years, even though most of them have been put in jail more times than Paris Hilton has had STD's.

I hate the diving in soccer. Most fans do. However the game is still 100% more exciting then the 18 or so minutes of real action that you get from a 3 hour advertising show.

NFL is fun to watch, but in reality with only 18 minutes of "game" compared to 90 minutes of game in soccer, I'd always say soccer is more a sports purists favorite.

And coming into the thread to piss shows you aren't a purist, you're just a moron.

Most soccer fans appreciate great sport in general.

However like fans of any sport, a small number of soccer fans who laugh about NFL guys wearing padding clearly don't understand the game well enough to make valid points about it.

I'm very sure the same goes for NFL fans who constantly go on about diving in soccer. Works both ways.

Diving is a tiny part of soccer and part of an otherwise fantastic game that most of the rest of the world (read: 4 billion) watches avidly and fanatically.

Now you don't have to be a rocket scientist to see which is the most popular sport. Any argument you have about it must be measure against the fact that two thirds of the population of the world knows you are wrong.

One more thing while I'm here:

The name of our game is football. We use our feet to play it. That's why WE call it football.

I guess that's something else the rest of the world thinks is hilarious as well.

That might help you understand why we call it football, and why you call it football also.
