I think this month will turn out to be better than Oct for most. I already seen improvenments in submits being accepted.
October is often a flaky month. If things don't collapse or go to hell in Oct you usually do ok as the snow flies for us (more horny in the winter for some odd reason)* northerners.

It peaks around the monthly shift. Maybe surfers are spending less money on other things at the end of the months, and online porn is after all cheaper than party hardy. And when months begin, some other people get their money and "rush" to pornsites. Or maybe more impulsive. I can't see another explanation, because for me that has been the trend for long long time

I'm no rocket scientist but maybe, just maybe, it has to do with a high unemployement rate, credit card debt, the holidays are comming up (hanukah is right around the corner). I think its just a hard time for everyone. You guys are complaining about sales? I think the governement just issued a huge bail out for automakers and pontiac gm saturn just closed their doors. Be lucky you're even getting sales......Comment

The pattern I notice is this:
Beginning of the month (the 1st - 8th or so) people pay their cc bills, rent, mortgage, car payments, school dues, all that shit. Then, the middle two weeks sales are steady but then the last week of a month sales flucuate like wild: up,down, down, up.
So this month has seen that pattern, and i try not to panic when i see sales are shit for the first week of a month. Now, if this continues the 2nd/3rd week, then I get concerned.
