    Today Is The Worst Annual Day On The British Calendar

    November 5th. Guy Fawkes night.

    Guy Fawkes Night is an annual celebration on the evening of 5 November. It marks the downfall of the Gunpowder Plot of 5 November 1605, in which a number of Catholic conspirators, including Guy Fawkes, attempted to destroy the Houses of Parliament, in London, United Kingdom.

    The fireworks have been going off like crazy already today. They seem even louder this year. Public displays are fine, but it's the idiots who buy them to just basically cause as much chaos with them as possible that fucks it all up.

    Every year it basically means hundreds of animals killed or injured, and many people seriously hurt or worse too. This ridiculous "celebration" should have been banned long before now. I guess the government makes too much money out of it to do that though.



    I wish Guy Fawkes did blow up the houses of parliment anyway...
