Welp my wound doctor at least hooked me up.

After seeing him today and getting past his bewildered look when I explained what went down with the oncologist, he muttered a few choice profanities and asked what we should do. Knowing that I could not even ask him to write for transport as that would risk his career. I just asked if he could hook me up with either some liquid drop pain medicine or some lollipop pain medicine. Plus I also needed all my other pain meds refilled. Without blinking he just asked and said OK what do you want?

So I got my refills which I knew was not going to be an issue. Plus a script for a couple instant release pain medicine lollipops for the trip down and back. So I at very least know that my trip should be fairly pain free, which is a major plus. I can at least sleep better up until Thursday night. Then we shall see what the future holds.

Oddly I am now curious what flavor they are? Guess I will know very soon, wife went to pick it all up a bit ago.

      Well positive news at least.

What was funny was on the way home I was chatting with the medi-trans driver and he was also amazed the oncologist would not of written one. Not like there was any risk, etc. when it comes writing it. He was actually upset as he gets to do most of the long trips and could of used the driving time. Oh well.

You may have answered this a thousand times over but how do you pay for all your medical shit? Do you have private insurance? Government assistance? Completely out of pocket?

I can not live with being on government assistance, the requirements is to fucking poor. True they would cover medical but I would have to have under 5k in assets and live off of around 700 a month.

Private insurance would never cover me even if I paid tens of thousands a month. Damn pre-existing conditions and all. I technically could squeeze into some group plan but if it was not some huge company, I will kill their plan averages.

I have patches. Pretty much I am taking serious levels of narcotics already. So naturally I have to monitor my breathing all of the time since that is the major potential issue, assuming an OD. Though my tolerance is also through the roof.

I will hit up other places tomorrow, most are closed since it is after 5. Thankfully the script is on its own sheet so I can take it elsewhere. Again knowing my odds at shit, I will locate it during the last hour like always. So I will not stress it beyond cursing earlier in this thread. It always works that way.

I know it's no where near on the same scale, but I have a medication I need for my migraines that is a shot that I have to go to the ER to get. The nuerologist who used to administer it is gone and no other office keeps it in stock. They don't write scripts for it so when I need it it's off to the ER I go. They put me through the ringer when I have to go to the ER, but at least there's somewhere... anyway, the point to my BS is there's always somewhere that seems to have it. Hopefully it's not too much of a pain for you or your wife to get to.

Im sure I will locate some or be able to call him up and get an alternate. Not super freaked that much anymore. I let out stress as fast as possible. One small explosion typically and back to calm. I know in the back of my mind there could be an issue but I will not dwell on it.

Lolz, out of sheer curiosity I did call one of our main hospitals. They have them in stock. However they will not release them to any non admitted patient. They have no "out service" pharmacy.
Will try the other hospital tomorrow. I know they have different hours - i.e. not open when I called. Oh well. We will see come tomorrow morning.

He the same doctor who tended to Michael Jackson? They seem to all be a little quick when writing out pain med prescriptions...
