![]() I'm not looking for this to turn into Plugin Spam-Fest 2009. I want some feedback from paysite owners on how well feeds actually retain members.
I know it's sort of a difficult question to answer because it depends on how many feeds, how closely they match your niche, how much other content you've got, etc. Just give me the best answer you can. |

A feed that updates daily definitely helps retain members. No question. I'm not just saying that because Member Channels has multiple updates a day and can be plugged right into your members area. ;) I'm saying that because I know for a fact it helps retain members.
Unless you have tons of your own content to do daily updates you should have a good feed inside your members area. Even then you should have atleast 1 or 2 ![]() Cheers.

Feeds will help you, and the smaller the program the better.
Bigger programs use them as they are fairly cheap and they do not have to keep many members to be worth it. We do have feeds but its a VERY small part of our company....we use feeds in our programs as well and a LOT of them! But you should have more then just one feed company just like you should buy from more then one content company! Some members will like one of the feed companies for their navigation, and other members will go for your secondary feed as its in their niche. Its not hard to tell if feeds help you.....its math, the feed system where you see a ton of BW being spent will help you retain, the one where you dont use much wont help you a ton but at the same time cost you next to nothing etc etc |

I'm confused already.
- "How effective are feeds" - "Everyone uses feeds"
