    Speaking of credit cards.

I had a WAMU credit card, it is one of two business credit cards I use. Anyways they get switched to Chase. Then I learn they have proceeded to cut my available credit and as a kick in the nads, raise my APR from 6.8 to 24.9%. However since they did this "switch" and I was on paperless statements I did not get any notification that they were going to be with WAMU anymore. Then since they needed to migrate all their data into Chase's systems the site was down for a few weeks (I did call of course). Anyways I got nailed for a late payment because my previous payment that was set up via WAMU's online system did not post until after the move occurred. I had zero idea that it even happened and figured everything was OK.

Such a serious ongoing assfucking without lube I have had from a company is many, many years.

    AMEX.

I wont use anything else ever again.

Cut up all my cards and paid them off soon as the recession hit.

Later, for the Visa's and MasterCards as part of their bulk mailing notices, I got about 3 notices for each saying how the APR's are going from like 4.7 to 25% +.

Best Buy sent me one saying that they (HSBC) are raising their rates to 29.7% APR.

I proudly cut the card up stuck it in the envelope back to them and told them to kindly fuck off.

It's ridiculous. And for someone who is young, single, with a decent amount of expendable income, I think they are retarded. I won't buy anything on credit from a store ever again. Cash baby.

    Fuck em.

I had a WAMU personal card at a 6.8% rate and after Chase bought them they raised it to 14%. They also cut my available limit by 1500 bucks. Seems lots of people got the same shit right before the new credit regs went into effect.

I would call them about your late payment, if it's the first one they should be able to reverse the fee at least.

Oh I have called and tried.
They will not budge and admit it was their fault. With a loophole on their side. My card did not have my current phone number. So they claim they called and I can not prove a negative. Even though I was on paperless billing, had all phone notifications off except 1 that let me cell know if I made a purchase larger than x amount.

I paid the shit, paid the bill off. Will not use it again but perhaps once every few months just to keep the score open for Fico.

I wish the world was that simple.
So may I ask what your credit score range is, give or take say 75 points.
