SlammedMedia 10-19-2009 11:00 AM

sounds like you need a new computer, Firefox works great.

michael.kickass 10-19-2009 11:46 AM

I have 4gb and a core2duo, it works just fine. I love firefox. =)

Megan Essog 10-19-2009 01:41 PM

I haven't had any FF problems but I'm on a Mac.
I have had it crash more often than usual though....

WebairMetz 10-19-2009 03:48 PM

FF is a memory hog at times. still usable though

new FF 3.5 on XP Pro without fail with chew up your memory after you browse for 30 minutes and fuck your machine up

tiger 10-20-2009 01:19 AM

It's still the best browser out for me but wtf is with the memory usage. I have seen this thing at times sucking between 500-800 mbs of memory? WTF??

raven1083 10-20-2009 01:43 AM

chrome is a lot faster than firefox

Seems to do that from one version to the next....

So it starts in safe mode, still,
Because it changed all of its own shortcuts to point to starting it in fucking safe mode
http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/...k+in+Safe+Mode
That was so simple and yet so annoying

MrMaxwell 10-21-2009 07:51 AM

Now if only it'd use two cores.. everything would be perfect

tetsuo001100 10-21-2009 11:14 AM

oh you kids and your winblows. hunker down to business and start using ubuntu. i've never had any issues ever since switching to linux completely. FF works perfectly, i can develop just fine with IE as an installed wine app. honestly you should give it a try.

tetsuo001100 10-21-2009 11:16 AM

plus i dont have to worry about spyware, viruses, malware and all that crap.

Sounds great, I love Ubuntu, but I love Adobe more. Sorry, when more big name programs like Adobe start supporting Linux, then maybe.

MasterBlow 10-21-2009 01:07 PM

I just recently made the switch to Google Chrome from Firefox (due to technical issues)

harvey 10-21-2009 01:15 PM

107.048 kb of RAM being used right now. 3 windows open. I'd say it's OK, at least way faster than IE, I was checking in a design I did yesterday and I thought everything was fucked up in IE, but it was just that it's slow. I never do clean installs unless I formatted disks or something, now using 3.5.3
