    Problem with sound on eMachines p3624

    My dad just called and told me that his sound/audio is not working anymore. Recently they had some virus issues and it sounds like they did a reformat of some sort. I tried walking him through a few different options to narrow down what's going on with the soundcard but to me it seems like the computer is not detecting the soundcard. Definitely no drivers. He doesn't seem to have any driver discs available and I can't quite figure out what soundcard it might be using.

    Any advice on where to go from here? I'm kind of a hardware newb.

          Go to emachines website, enter model # somewhere on that support drivers/downloads, grab the audio drivers.

                          I've bought eMachines laptop to my girlfriend couple of years ago.
                          It works just perfect and she never had any problems.
