    Mainstream ads on porn tubes

    Have seen Ant.com ads several times already, and some other tube downloading apps placing their ads on tubes (mostly illegal ones). Online games are now quite common to advertise there too.

    Looks like mainstream is starting to regard advertising on porn sites as something more or less acceptable - which is a bad news for those of us who hoped that illegal tubes will choke because of lack of advertisers. Not going to happen unfortunately, at least not any time soon. They proved to be quite ingenious finding new ways of monetizing their traffic.

      Bottom line is youll never see big companies like Electronic Arts or Blizzard advertising World of Warcraft on tubes, start up companies maybe not but the big doggs.

          Will be interesting to watch - in the reverse, Revenue Magazine had porn company ads in two issues and then quickly banned them - not sure what they are doing today, but the quiet backlash was strong and anyone experimenting with ads on porn tubes may see unintended consequences in that they will lose more than they gain...

              That is correct but if enough of the smaller mainstream fish will add to illegal tubes' pool of advertisers, that will be enough to keep them in business forever.

                                      as a mainstream affiliate that can be risky. your sponsor networks will shitcan you in a heart if they catch you doing so. Mainstream advertisers do not like to see their offers promoted on porn sites. So these ads are either running on some shady networks, being placed with blank referers in hopes they are not caught, or are being placed by shady advertisers themselves.
