USA GFYers... Best Verizon Wireless Smartphone?

I have to pick up two phones for biz development/sales people and looking to go with Verizon over AT&Ts crappy network.

I need a smartphone or blackberry, but wanted to hear some feedback from anyone that has one.

Personally, I use an iPhone, but before that used the Nokia e61i which I thought was awesome. The HTC is pretty close to the Nokia which seems like a decent phone, but I've never used one.

Blackberry seems pretty decent, but I've never been a big fan. I won't be using the blackberry mail system, already have an exchange server that works well with what we have now, but anyone know if you need to buy the blackberry mail package to use exchange? One Verizon guy said yes, and went to another store today and someone else said no.

Any thoughts?

I am very happy with my BB Curve 8330 RIM. You only need their upgraded bb package to connect to a corp BES system or if you require more then like 10-15 email addresses(free/pop/imap).

The storm sucks. Period.

The Tour is pretty nice, I love it.

And if you're on Exchange already.. Why wouldn't you use Blackberry Enterprise Server? Nothing comes even *close* on the market for just general "it just works". I never was a believer until I had to use a blackberry for a few weeks due to my other phone dying, and I've been a convert since.

Getting a new phone when you're using is BES is awesome. Just tap in the server, and authentication key.. and your old phone gets uploaded to the new one automagically.

Same with e-mail/calendar/contact sync etc.

Other phones work fine, and BB works fine w/o BES - but it's a different level of works. Expect to spend a little time setting anything else up.

get the nokia e71.. it's wicked.. I use it as a 3g wireless broadband modem when travelling.. absolutely recommended.

I'll be getting the e72 when it's released that's for sure.

blackberry curve. its the oldest model of blackberry they have. but the most reliable. the tour has a terrible return rate due to the bad rollerball. The new generation storm is coming out soon. i still love my curve though.
