Oddly once I saw the ballon, I was thinking of that family - actually think they were on wife swap twice cause hubby is so fucking nuts.
Second someone said wife swap I knew which family.

yeah chasing storms, launching rockets, and um much more was common for them.

They don't appear too.. It seems to me if there was another part of this balloon, that the family would have known long ago that the rest of the balloon was missing by watching the live footage, so why didn't they say anything?

This story is starting to sound pretty suspicious to me. Where is the box that was supposedly attached to the balloon? With all of those people searching, the kid hides out for how hours?

Somehow, I am thinking someone will try and spin a new reality TV series out of all this publicity...or maybe that was the plan all along.

"I'm very confident we will find him. I think it's a matter of him being a little scared," she said. "Maybe he's not ready to be found."

CBS is also questioning whether the event was a publicity hoax, citing aviation experts who said the balloon couldn't have been carrying the boy, and report by Falcon's brother that he saw him fall out.

UPDATE: New York Times report Brian Stelter tweeted that the boy, Falcon Heene, has been "found alive" according to KUSA-TV. He also noted that the boy's father previously called KUSA-TV "in a panic" to ask if their helicopter could help track down the child.

This might also suggest a publicity stunt, as the father contacted media outlets rather than working exclusively with emergency personnel and authorities.

If you caught them on wife swap both times, um Dad is a fucking nut and his wife is very fast to support him 100%. They are positive there is life (not just bacterial, intelligent life) on planets such as Mars. Yes they chase storms with crappy equipment. They also like to try to launch rockets into such storms. His data is sort of well - lets just say absurd. However at the same time you can also tell aside from him being a crazy ass man baby, he does have intelligence in his noggin. Just puts it to use for the wrong crazy ass shit.

Fuck the least of my thoughts when I saw his family was that they chased storms. That is not to strange. It just was the trailer loads full of other whack job thoughts he had and how his family runs that sort of burned him into my memory as one of those types of people you stay just far enough away from to avoid the explosion when he finally blows himself up.

I guess the UFO hoax that the balloon was obviously built for wouldn't have given him the media attention he was looking for.
