Made some decent money in adult during the earlier days, made more money in mainstream, then realized that spending the next few decades behind a computer would suck and decided to go to med school instead.

GFY has the most value to content providers, designers and programmers. I don't think program owners get much out of it unless they're brand new or launching something brand new. Free site webmasters don't get much out of this place other than entertainment.

Not sure who says that but i have definitely picked up some good business from GFY in the past 2 weeks, picked up a couple of affiliates for Condom Cash who are sending traffic AND sales and also did a couple of deals on content from Rainbow Content in addition to selling 1 domain name and making a few contacts with design guys/girls plus getting some excellent information just this morning on video encoding

For some reason it just popped into my head knowing the weird shit that goes on in the ER. You saying "relax, I used to be a pornographer - now tell me what really happened?". It gave me a lol.

GFY can earn you a shit load, hell so can a small show. Both just require you to make the most of it and figure out how to milk it. GFY is best to talk basic BS with people which allows people to get to know each other. Then take it off the board via mail or whatever and deals get done. Otherwise you discover that person is a flake, and general waste of space and you just go back to general talking on the board with them, but keep a note explaining why they are on the do not use list.

Hell for a long ass time I had spreadsheets of who knew how to do what, who knows who well, who can you see easily influences another. Who is into what, and much more. Was pretty damn amazing what you could get done with that. Wish I could of kept it up. Just got overly confusing with rampant name changes which never used to happen, the assault and near conquer of the trolls, and of course the infected population of contest thread dwellers that can pop up out of nowhere with 20k posts willing to do cheap work or sell a sig.
