well i wanted to see this movie but after seeing that i am not going to, horrible effects, and fucking California completely falling apart like that give me a fucking break, this is to hollywood.

im not denying its possible for California to fall into the ocean but it wouldnt just fall in it would break apart and slowly sink.

Although I am one of those that are willing to suspend reality when watching such movies.
If we wish to get technical, according to plate tectonics CA would not slide, fall, or otherwise sink into the pacific. Unless we are talking about very select parts where it is cliff side housing above the ocean.

I know movies are about "willful suspension of dis-belief" - but I just cant jump on board this one. Star wars, sure. but this, not so much.

Looks like a Disney ride to me. I mean really - what are the chances that the John Cusak could really drive a limo like that... and that a limo wouldn't get flat tires when jumping up the curb.

And, I know they collapse time a bit; but it looks like they were in Hollywood or at best WHo, and one couldn't get to Santa Monica Airport in 5-10 minutes even on surface streets with no traffic or signals... and that earthquake was going at least 30-40 miles per hour.

And the flying sequences are just stupid.

I mean; when you take off in an airplane; you pull up and climb to a few thousand feet pretty quickly. And you wouldn't fly right back downtown or to Westwood, or West Hollywood - unless of course, you're being scripted by some dorky writer in some fake ass action movie.

Looks dumb. John Cusak should stick to romantic comedies with Diane Lane.

I'm really disappointed. I was excited to see this one until this preview came out. Uhg, looks like complete garbage.

Yes, i agree....if you study the history very closely and the prediction which have true now......Water is great power! Water is the biggest evil enemy for earth.....people are either dying from overflow of water or shortage....

75% of the earth is water and continents will get covered and go under water....
