The Canadian and B.C taxpayers paid 10 billion for the right that the American athletes can whip our ass in winter sports

Canadian taxpayers paid 10 billion? What do you mean?

You mean it costs 10 billion to organize the olympics? That's impossible. The number is too big.

Skeleton: Canada's Montgomery wins skeleton gold.

          Well done.

It's a sport named "Skeleton" - sounds dangerous.

Oy, better get the stats correct! It is not the medal total that counts, but GOLD medals! Giving us:

              1 USA 6 6 8 20
              2 Norway 5 3 2 10
              3 Germany 4 5 4 13
              4 Canada 4 3 1 8
              5 S-Korea 3 2 0 5

This really is a show of just what the human body is physically capable of.

These people take fitness and physical strength and endurance to the next level.

The statistics on the olympics website count the total medal count - not only gold.

So, they seem to think that 4 gold, 5 silver, 4 bronze is better than 5 gold, 3 silver, 2 bronze.

As long as Canada wins gold in hockey, Canadians really don't care otherwise!

I'm heading up to Whistler tonight to watch the metal ceremony!
