JustDaveXxx invited me to go see how a wednesday nite live shoot of Fuck A Fan, Blowjob winner and Handjob winner were produced.

With all the controversy surrounding Porno Dan, and my desire to learn much more about production, I jumped at the opportunity to jet out to the Immoral Production studios.
First, Fuck A Fan is 100% straight up. Arriving at the studios at 5:30pm, I walk in and pass 3 dorky looking dudes with goofy looks on their faces sitting in the front room flipping through a stack of porno rags.
I immediately cracked up thinking, HAH, those are the Fuck A Fan competitors.
Later on, during the intro scene, I watched the random game Dan has them play that determines the winner and it is only then they know who fucks the chick. ANd while that guy is certainly a lucky mother fucker, it was totally hilarious watching him waiting out the handjob scene and blowjob scene, dude was pacing the waiting room because he could hear all the craziness going on in the other room! too funny.
Second, the level of production is impressive. At first glance it's hard to see that, the set is a gaudy mix of bright, sparklie cheesy backdrops and some lighting, no biggie, no Red Cams, no crazy equipment overload.
Then I am introduced around and realize Dan has the top people in this Business in on this gig:
RevSand. The guy behind the guy.
JustDaveXxx. making shooting look easy. fuck!
Jim Powers. Umm, well, Jim only has a handful of AVN awards/nominations.
that is a serious fucking dream production team. period.
Porno Dan. I guess you either get Porno Dan or you don't. But Dan brings an energy level and enthusiasm to the set that I have never seen on any porn shoot I've been a part of. It got kinda weird though, he kept checking me out while he was bangin this one girl, got kinda awkward.
ANyhoo, granted, my experience is with solo girl content, but I've never seen this level from the girls on-set. The crazy thing about that is it's all absolutely, completely unscripted.
I mean those girls were ON!. Now the 3 girls (the main star and 2 fluffers) were hot for each other- either good casting or good luck. doesn't matter, it's good.
I want to say it again, because of how important I think it is-
The enthusiam level on set was RI-DIC-U-LOUS.
That was Porno Dan's part. Easily, one of the nuttiest characters, we all know that already. Hell, the guy got sucker punched in the ear at Xbiz!
But with all the enthusiasm and crazy-ness, here's the clencher, get this-
About an hour or so into shooting the 3 scenes, in walks Will Ryder!
Jesus fuck christ, AVN director of the Year 2010.
Later, Will blurts out that the Fuck a Fan wednesday nite production is his favorite content being shot right now!
I think he meant it too, we all ended up hanging out and he's a genuine guy.
They all are. That was prolly the strange part, lolz
Obviously, I've left out ALL the details of this production. Not my place to do that.
There were many innovative things going on by highly skilled & creative professionals- all contributing to an overall plan.
If you are not paying attention to what Dan & crew are doing, you are probably missing out on the direction of the next 5 years of porn production& revenue generation.
Will Porno Dan rise to the top of the Porn Heap? I have no idea, but the fact is he has surrounded himself with people who know what the fuck they are doing. Same with his giving away his content on his and xxxJay's tube. I understand thta A LOT better now.
But not only that, there's something a lot more important. The whole crew, I mean everybody, was clearly working together, and open to working with others, and to share experiences, strengths and such.
IMO, THAT is the future. I've recently realized this, the new GFY reflects it, Immoral Productions does it that way, Dave does, all those guys.

oh, the pics promised. I didn't take any. I wanted to hang back and watch of things were shot, not shoot, there was a lot to take in so maybe Dave can post some BTS video stills.
